I'm going to keep doing my taxes the same way I always have. If they want more information they can ask me for it.
I keep meticulous records and have told others that don't that one day you'll get caught. I have a CPA that used to work for the IRS go over everything and file my return, it's expensive but worth the piece of mind. I keep hard copies of everything for 5 years even though technically you can get rid of it after 3. Now that PayPal and Venmo turn over all payment information to the IRS it's going to get a lot harder for people to cheat and as someone I use to listened to on the radio once said, it's easier to get an extra $1 out of a million people, then it is to get a million out of a single person.
