Still here 11 years later.. I check in most days.
Just short of 12 years here.

Lady Marius
Canadian Mystery Shopper
I just checked and looks like I registered for this site way back in 2008!
about 8.5 years for me....
the most frequent posters at that time...most of them seem to be now gone
so I wonder about that. I enjoy whenever Honny Brown pops up....he'/she
was one of the originals here when I first started.

on the other hand, less strife here, so that's a good thing

I found this Forum in Jsnuay 2020. Many of the members who were most active and most experienced then, no longer post. I hsve always found the information posted here to be informative.

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
I think a few of them got blocked because of the fighting and bickering.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I’ve been here a minute or 9 years. Took some time off to recalibrate and still check from time to time.

Any thoughts of moving to Reddit?
There is already a mystery shopping forum on Reddit - under that exact name

I find it funny that the people on Reddit tend to refer people here for help rather than just answer the questions. Reddit users can be mean.
i just found that thread in reddit a week ago. i never thought to look. probably because i come here. i wouldnt think it mean to direct someone to a great resource like this.

15 years, also sporadic depending on what’s going on in my life. But love visiting.
Since 2013 for me. Crazy how fast time flies.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
Speaking for Shoppergirly, I don't think she meant that it's mean to refer shoppers here.
I get the sense this forum is considered to have users with more years of experience
whereas Reddit users skew newer/younger/less experienced.

I think she meant (and hopefully she will pop up) that Reddit as a forum overall
can be mean.

In my opinion, it's a different culture. It seems to me, depending on the topic
to skew towards people under 40, maybe under 50 and in some topics, there are
some very knowledgeable experts who share their knowledge freely, so that's great.
At the same time, OMG, a bunch of 12 year olds who add nothing but pop in to
add rude, inappropriate, even cruel or sexually explicit comments.

Absolutely correct! People here are nice. Redditers can be mean.

Totally agree. The anonymity of Reddit let's people say whatever they want there. But there are some subs that are incredibly helpful!
For some very specific issues there are some subs there that get responses you can't find anywhere else....I love Reddit....
but as we mentioned above, there are these posters - teen boys maybe? they love to just jump on their and give people crap, thankfully not many of them.

Everybody here is great.

I've been posting for 13 years so since like 2013- and I lurked for about a year before I worked up the courage to create an account and join the discussion.
Reddits humor is mean and depressed... my kind of people

I suspect many people use Reddit as an outlet for their rage. At least it keeps it contained. (I hope.)
It kinda cracks me up that the Reddit rules are much stricter on the original post than they are for the many crappy responses.
