TXR Shooting in Louisville

This happened last night in a location that I have frequently shopped. It is probably one of my favorite locations and everyone is so nice. Heartbreaking...what has this world come to? Editited to add other articles are saying it was the manager who was shot and this was a dine and dash.

Wow..that's horrible. I often see reports of places I've shopped having been robbed at gunpoint, sometimes the night after I've been there in the day..usually gas stations. I always say I just float through life not knowing what's happening right around me. A few weeks ago a tractor trailer went off the highway at an exit/entrance I frequently use and into a house that was a limo business. It totally damaged the house to where it had to be bulldozed. It's a crazy world, for sure. Be safe out there.

That's so sad! I am glad you weren't there when it happened.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
My eyebrows raised slightly when I read that the manager grabbed the shooter's arm first.
Wow, he was going to try to just slip out, but packed his piece just in case. Premeditated. Probably ordered the largest ribeye, too.
Wow!

I tend to “float through life” as well, intentionally not listening to the current bad news, so I don’t become agoraphobic.

An odd robbery for sure, considering most pay with plastic or digital currency now.

It’s never worth your life or injury to prevent a robbery, especially a corporate one.

My son just applied at a local TRH. Now I’m hoping he doesn’t get the job…not that anywhere is off limits from trouble anymore.

Got to stay positive …
TXRH would be among the safer places to work as there are so many employees on duty.( I personally have been robbed and have responded to many robberies at companies where I have worked.). I would be wary of any locations next to a major hiway entrance, though.
The hungry robber was not going for the cash! He just tried to eat and run on an expensive meal. Not worth grabbing someone. The manager or whoever could have just taken out their cell and got a photograph of the getaway car's plate.

Or, @johnb974 could have had a conversation with the robber.
