Any opinions on this company before I try a shop for a particular home improvement store? I am bomborded with "increased commission" emails. Of course, I'll wait until they are actually increased to being worth the gas and multiple interactions. However, just wondering - lots of paperwork? Do they pay quickly?

They pay very quickly... I have done several of the shops... got new screen for my screen door on one shop and then the tool to put it in the door on another shop. Great way to pick up little things like that and make a few extra bucks, especially when the fees go up, up, up!

Marg - this is a really good company that starts out with modest fees but bonuses up pretty quickly if you'll wait. I thought the home improvement store seemed complicated when I did the first few of them, but they get easier and faster with time.

They want a lot of information and it's easy to miss some of it. The question that snags me most often is about how many registers were available not counting the self serve. Watch out for this because on first glance all the registers run together. Also, there will be three sets of registers, and the answer will be different depending on where you check out and observe a checkout if this doesn't happen in the same bank of registers. Yikes! Maybe I'm having super senior moments on this shop, but I have to be extra careful to get all the info.

My suggestion is that you allow yourself some extra time on the first one. Also, the company wants quite a bit of detail in the comments and that will take a little extra time. I pick up two or three of these every month after they're bonused. They come on the board at $4.00 and I sure hope you don't pick them up at that point. They are so not worth it until they hit $20+.

CRI was my 1st MSC and I'm still checking their site often. They are the fastest payers I know & have never messed up any reimbursements for me. Their pay rate is low, but they have a lot of clients close to home. If I wait for the increases, they are worth it for me because I can plan a route and do a round trip with the fewest miles/gallons. Their only drawback, in my opinion, is the short 3-day (2 if you're looking for jobs late at night) assignment window.

The big box HI store shops never make it to $20+ in my area (St Pete/ Clearwater, FL). They always go when they reach the $10ish range & it gets worse when the snowbirds get down here for the winter.
This company's pay is terrible. It is not worth the time to input the report. Their pay does not even reimburse your gas to get to the location. They always advertise an increase in pay; I have yet to see it!
Sheram53 - By the time they send out the email on the increase, the job will already be snapped up. You have to check them regularly and pick up the increased shops before the emails are sent. Check them at night. Their day rolls over at 11:00 p.m. at my house and I'm on CST. Figure out what time that is for you. Then you can get first dibs at the next three days. You may discover increases at the rollover or they may show up during the day; sorry, I'm not sure when that happens. I can hardly ever get anything as a result of an email. It's always gone. Gotta stay ahead of the email by checking regularly. Make it a habit and you'll find it pays off. Don't get discouraged.
