Cirrus Marketing

Is anyone having trouble getting paid by Cirrus Marketing? I have emailed them my invoice twice for shops I did the beginning of July. I haven't heard anything from them, and I haven't been paid. They had some shops I would have liked to take in September, but I didn't because of not getting paid.

Hi Debbie I completed a shop for Cirrus Marketing in July. I was paid in September with no issue.
Thanks for the information. I don't know why they haven't paid me. They gave me really good reviews on the shops I did. I shopped for them also back in 2004 and never had a problem. I may try to call them next week.
I don't know if anyone has read this thread, but I thought I'd update my concerns. I called Cirrus, and the woman who answered said that they had changed their pay periods, and shops will be paid 90 days after the invoice was submitted. So I should get paid for my July shops the end of October.

Here's my two cents....

If NET90 (getting paid 90 days after completion/submission/approval) is an acceptable term, continue on and just make sure they pay you. If you find NET90 unacceptable (which I would personally) then I would consider business concluded with them forevermore, then do some digging to find out when the payment terms changed and when a new ICA was executed. If either of those things happened after you completed the shop(s) (or if a new ICA was never executed) I would send a certified letter, return receipt requested, stating they owe you X$, that that amount is overdue as of Y date, and that they are in violation of the ICA standing at the time of completion. They have 14 days to make full payment of the amount due or you will exercise your legal rights.

But that's just me, and I am not a lawyer.
Maybe shoppers should change their terms for report submission. As of now (put in whatever date is convenient to you) all of my reports will be submitted one week after job completion, until further notice which at that time I will increase my submission time to 2 weeks, or maybe 4, I'll get back to you on it. If you haven't received my report in 4 weeks please send an e-mail to my help desk and I will respond within 2 weeks assuming you don't need a report clarification otherwise please allow 6 weeks for my response.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I will certainly think long and hard before I shop for them in the future. If they have a shop I like and I have nothing better to do, I'll think about it.

Thanks for the advice!
Bad show lenghening the payment date... Doesnt speak well of their management...or their attension to their contracters... Well at least you know where you stand with them...

Probably somewhere between a paper weight and a doormat...

Debi have you gotten paid yet?
I have submitted two invoices, one for April one for June at least four times each. I get no response to my inquires about the payment. Anyone have any suggestions on next steps?
Here's what I did to get paid by Cirrus. I completed shops in April, which under their previous terms, would mean I would be paid sometime in June. June 14 (which made 60 days) rolled by, and I began calling their office asking when payments would be issued. Took 3 or 4 times before I got an answer that involved a firm date, but I kept calling every other day until I did. Their initial date went by, no payment. I called once a day for two days until I got an email with a revised date, which I was paid on.

Total time was in the neighborhood of 75 days, which is 15 days past their terms which I completed the job under.

They have some high dollar stuff, but their shops are ridiculously in depth and IMO, not worth it. Especially not at 90 day terms.

Still waiting! I have not gotten paid by them yet but they did tell me the end of October.

You could try calling them to make sure they have your invoices.
I was just reading the instructions on how to complete my shopper invoice form for a Cirrus Marketing shop I performed in October. It looks like I already messed up by not submitting it on the last day of October so I probably won't be paid until February 2012.

Just as a FYI, this is quoted from their instructions...
"Please submit ONE invoice at the end of the month for all shops completed during that month. Submitting your invoice early does not get you paid any sooner and may result in payment delays if we receive duplicate invoices."

After reading this, I would recommend calling the company directly instead of submitting another invoice. Wish me luck on getting paid!

If you completed your shop during this month... You will be paid after the 15th of this month:
January April
February May
March June
June July
May August
June September
July October
August November
September December
October January
November February
December March

I have done work for them. I always have to call and told I will be paid. I spoke with Bristin and she told me the money would be put into Paypal today at 5 P.M. of course it was not. I have had a bad history with them. I get 10's on my reports. I would not work for them again. It is always some excuse. I finally emailed mhoward@cirrusmktg.com who last time is how I got paid. I think I will contact Lewis Management if I do not get paid on Mon. It was due Oct. 31 after 90 days. Now who knows...I think if everyone has a problem with payment and contact the client maybe that would make a difference
I had completely forgotten how long they took to pay and did a job in August. I was informed the current pay schedule was now four months, but I did not receive any additional information except to "resend" my invoice. Lesson learned, the scheduler is really nice though, but it's out of her hands.

I did a $4.00 phone shop for them at the end of May. I wasn't going to pursue $4.00, so I had pretty much written it off, and I was ok with that. I got paid sometime in October, just randomly out of the blue I got an email saying they had sent the money via PayPal. I was pretty happy too because too, because I have never not been paid for a shop, and it was bumming me out to have that mark on my spreadsheet.
