Godiva chocolate

Yeah I know, sounds fun. Free chocolate. The report is ridiculously detailed. More narrative than many 20-30$ dollar shops. The shopper pay is 5 bucks! Why? Just a heads up.

I did this before on a Friday night and didn't turn in the report until Sunday night. If it weren't for the fact that the MSC take the weekends "off" from reading reports, then I wouldn't do it, because it is too much work for some chocolates that I will end up eating in one sitting.
Agreed! sounds great, but even if you add the fee and the reimbursement, you can't buy enough chocolate to share.
Yes, I have been doing this shop for 3-1/2 years now....first with one MSC and then with the new one for the last year. It was always a cheapie shop but it got cheaper when it went to the new MSC, the fee went down $2 while reimbursement remained the same. With the new MSC there's a 6-month rotation. I usually buy a few candy bars. It is worth it only because it is in the mall right down the street and I stop in at lunch on on the way home......yummy, though ....
I did this shop a few times with the old MSC and at two different locations found FLIES zipping around inside with the covered strawberries. Doesn't matter how hoity-toity they claim to be, disgusting is disgusting...and so not worth the fee and calories.

If I remember correctly you're required to spend 15 minutes in the store. I thought about spending 15 minutes in what is normally a very tiny shop and passed, tough to pull off. Sounds like it was a good decision. :-)
I did them for the previous MSP and the 15 minutes could be engineered to be not an issue. It was a mall kiosk and I would window shop nearby until someone approached the counter. Then I could go start browsing the other side of the kiosk without being detected or approached for a while. When I got greeted too soon I made a point of asking about a whole lot of items, asking whether the company was still Belgian owned (hasn't been in a long time and was most recently sold to a Turkish group in 2007), asking how much of the chocolate is locally dipped (only the fresh fruit in my market), etc. etc. We also could shoot the breeze about other things while I picked my 4 truffles that the reimbursement would cover and killed the rest of my 15 minutes. It is amazing how much dead air can be filled with a discussion of my proposed dinner menu that will be ended with coffee and chocolates for dessert. And only once did I let them get away with putting my chocolates in just a paper bag. You could kill still more time while they packaged 4 little gems in a little gold box.
I love this shop. I grab it every time it comes around.

I route it with 4-5 other mall shops. It's a nice breather, because the report is a no brainer and I get free Godiva, plus the free samples they ply me with. The report takes 20 mins max.
I used to do Godiva when they paid me bonuses with the old MSC, the new one is so cheap--to cheap for me!
