Picture of Nothing.....

I recently did a gas station....the directions were to take photos of all negative observations....I explained in comments that the station did not have any windshield washing supplies or the containers for the fluid....my shop was not accepted because I did not have a picture of the negative condition...I am new to doing gas stations...did not see that one coming....

To me that sounds easier than taking a photo of a non-existent restroom. At least we know where those should be.

No restrooms - No pictures. Simple

It's not always the case, but a few times I've had a gas station with a sign that says "No public restroom." I take a picture of those signs then.
You just need to snap a picture of where they might typically be. Just take a few overall shot of different things.

If you had any shots of the pump area, I would have just submitted those.
you could try tapping the walls and imagining what you need...

oh wait... that was just in a movie...

I love trying to photograph non-existent gift cards. I end up taking a slightly different picture of the counter or credit card application display. So far, no negative comments about what I submit.
i think the man idea is to have a picture of something and say "see no ____"

or you could tell them that is was covered by an invisibility cloak... and you didnt have your spells memorized...

It is just to prove that you actually looked for the specified item. It would also cover your backside if the location says that they have said item and you say they don't. A picture would help to show that they didn't just fix it after you left.

Though I love the general assumption that we were right if we clicked yes, but wrong if we clicked no.

Maybe I should pull the memory out of my pensieve to prove it to them.
I also take a photo of no Gift Cards by taking extra photos of the counter or application display. A few times I've taken the photo of the attendant holding a box of them that they haven't put out on display...weird, but that's where they were.
