HELP! My CRI rating fell below 3

Thanks Lisa do you know who I contact at CRI? I emailed the scheduler multiple times but she never responded. Then I tried another scheduler but haven't heard back from her either.

cooldude581 my auditor rating was 3.9 for years and I did the 200 successful shops this year. I missed a Kmart and then I had this scheduling problem and that seems to have dropped me down to 2.5. I don't understand it at all.

I once had a job I took (not from CRI) but realized two minutes later it was in another State! (Same name different state) ...I totally did not want to cancel and decided I was going to eat this one and the gas. Better than a cancellation. (We are talking 55 miles up there)
Then later, I was able to pick up 3 banks up there, so at least I made my gas and the trip worthwhile.
Had you considered at the time to pick up some other shops in that area?

I have had a CRI rating fall below 3. I think that they take the current average and average in the problem shop. My problem was in scheduling two of them. I have tried to get assignments since then but can't. I need to email them for information about that but just haven't had time.
A flat cancellation like you would do yourself will automatically drop your standing by a full point. Other things can knock off half a point. Generally cancelling through a scheduler with good cause will not impact the rating. Assuming this was all handled within a reasonable amount of time it sounds like you had good cause. If e-mail is not working they have live chat during normal business hours or you can get someone on the phone at 419-422-3196. They are on eastern time and open from about 9 to 4:30. You may want to opt for the phone call. It will be easier to explain talking to someone.

I did one day of shops for them, rushed to get the reports done in their tiny window of opportunity and said, "I'm done!" No more CoRI for me. I don't think they treat their shoppers well at all. No thank you!

CRI does not use averaging in their penalties. If you have a 4.5 average for 10 shops and miss one, you lose a full point to 3.5. If you have a 4.5 average for 150 shops and you miss one, you still are at 3.5.

Jpgilham, Did you specify in your initial requests that you wanted the two shops because they were out of the way? If so, then the scheduler seems unfair. And that rating system sucks. Don't they drop individuals who fall below three stars?

That's really odd, I've not had that experience.
I had a flake cited on me recently at a 4.8 average, bringing it down to a 4.3, not a 3.8. The scheduler saw all the e-mails and removed the deduction, but she indicated a flake was a max .5 even if it had stayed.

I don't worry too much about their weird mathematical calculations. If there is a problem I contact someone and it gets straightened out. They are actually pretty decent to their shoppers. They will help you pass tests, missing the "6 hour" shop deadline is not penalized and if the computer drops your rating they will adjust it for you. Add that to paying weekly and having several methods of contacting a live person and it's not all bad. You just have to wait for commissions to rise to make the jobs worthwhile. Oh yeah, and don't over think the jobs. I take CoRI jobs when I need a break from mystery shopping.

LisaSTL, you are on point with this one. Folks, if you want to leave CORI in my area, I'll certainly be more than grateful in accepting the extra work. February makes 5 years of easy assignments and fast, on-time compensation with them.
Hey, I like them too. Shops do not have volumes of narrative to write and are generally easy to fill out. And you can't beat how fast they pay, every single week!

My rating with them dropped to 2.5 after missing a shop. I just emailed them to ask to be scheduled for another home improvement store. I did the shop and now am back up to 3.2. They're easy to work with.
CRI dropped my son's rating to a 1.5 from a 5.0 after I accidentally put shops on his name that was supposed to be on mine. We have to share a computer and I didn't realize I was signed in on his name until after I had already scheduled them. So I cancelled the shops on his account and put them on mine.
4 days later, they dropped his rating to a 2.0 and when he emailed them to find out what was going on, they dropped him to a 1.5! They never responded to his emails, just dropped his rating again for enquiring. We will never do Dairy Queen shops for them because their scheduler is really unreasonable. I don't think it would of taken 5 minutes for her to explain something, but instead she just dropped his rating even more!

That's awful Sammy. I emailed two schedulers for CRI multiple times and never received a response but I noticed that my rating went back up to 3.1 so they must have done something. I hope your son can continue to do CRI shops as sometimes they pay so darn well!
Sounds like you cancelled them yourself. When you cancel a shop a warning comes up saying your rating will drop by a full point and asking if that's really what you want to do. The computer certainly can't recognize that you made an innocent error it only saw your son assigning and cancelling jobs. You should have called them right away and had them removed by a scheduler. As far as those DQ shop, unless they've changed schedulers I really like her. I grabbed a couple with big bonuses and had a question come up during one of the shops. She was there to answer the question.

So, out of curiousity, how long do the penalty points "stick" (assuming one doesn't have a scheduler remove them)? Do they go away after a time, or get averaged in after a time, or is the full point deduction permanent, no matter what else a shopper might do?

Remember this is all based on past experience and could change because of the merger with Stericycle. Shop on Monday and it will be auto removed on Wednesday at noon EST. I certainly do not recommend pushing the envelope and actually try to get my reports in ASAP. My purpose in posting the info was because of people stressing unnecessarily when a problem occurs over the weekend. Because their reports are so easy mine are usually in the same day. If travel is involved it will be the next morning before 10. Maybe not 6 to 8 hours, but between 8 and 16.

Gotcha. I always work extremely hard to meet all deadlines 100%, but I *had* been wondering what would happen if I were to miss one of these six-hour ones by a few minutes. Hopefully it will never be an issue, but since I do occasionally work shops out of town, I was wondering about what would happen if I were not able to find a coffee shop with Internet access and had to come home to submit my report, or if I were to hit traffic and end up being 15 minutes late clicking that final submit button. It's good to know that I probably won't be forever banished, anyway.

Contact the person threw email, meaning the person that handles the stores, like Ie. Lowes, Kmart or JA, they will help you. I know we all screw up, and I was honest with them, I went from a to 1.9. I have been trying to fix it, every month I do about 60 stores, and it has taken me since thanksgiving to still be at a 1.9. But email the agent. They do give you one more shot.
