Intouch insight.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that if you work for this company. You should stop working for them. I just did a shop for them and was told I wasn't getting paid. She said I didn't read the guidelines, I just read the guidelines again. It said what i thought it said before and I was right. I've printed out a copy and I called her and left a voice message. I let her know I was right and that she had no right telling me I didn't understand the guidelines. In short I think Intouch Insight really sucks.

That is surprising. I have worked with Service Intelligence for years which recently became Intouch insights and have never had an issue that could not readily be resolved. Keep trying and try to work together rather than just venting your outrage. She may be wrong, you may be wrong but if you both try you may be able to work it out.
I'm also very surprised. For me, In-Touch has been nothing but accommodating, easy to work with and their forms are usually very straightforward. May I ask what the issue was?
My husband and I just did our first several jobs for this company (6 each). I'm surprised you had a bad experience OP. We had nothing but a great experience with them. The guidelines were easy to follow, and any questions we had we asked. We had our questions answered promptly.

The one thing I found out though - and this is with any type of email correspondence - is more often than not, you (*generalized*) cannot be aggressive. Maybe when you contacted the scheduler/editor your tone in your email came across as a vent, and the recipient immediately got defensive. A little trick I was taught, write an email, and the same goes for ANYtime you are on the phone - write it or speak with a smile. It changes the tone of your voice and your written correspondence.

Proud To Be A Soldier's Mom
This is a new company for me and I have worked for other mystery shopping companies before. This company posted an add on Craigslist in the job section upon replying I received an email stating they had tried to call me and I didn't answer and after replying to the email saying that I was interested, they contacted me by text message saying my first job is tomorrow. Is this typical for this company, other companies I worked for allow you to choose the jobs you wish to take not assign them to you, it all just seemed odd when I was notified that my application hadn't even been approved by their recruitment office as of midnight last night and then this morning I get a text message saying I have a "shop" tomorrow.
This sounds as though you have found a scam on Craig's List. To the best of my knowledge Intouch Insight does NOT just assign you jobs. You need to self assign or request them from their job board. I think I would give Andrienne Spann a call. Unfortunately I think their offices are closed today for President's Day/Family Day, but since it is a toll free number I would try anyway.

Ok great thank you I will give them a call the gentleman I am currently communicating with is Micheal Fellows and I always make sure to get some background on any company I work for, but like I said this seemed odd. Thanks again for the information.

This seems like a scam. As far as I know, In-Touch does not advertise on Craigslist or Kijiji. They do not assign jobs over the phone. One must go to their website and select shops. Before accepting any assignments from Mr. Fellows, please go to the In-Touch website and see if you've been assigned anything. Give them a call and see if your application has been accepted.

I have a feeling you'll be telling Mr. Fellows to take a hike.
Yes sir I already have I actually applie through in-touch insight an received an email saying it would take up to 5 days to process my application and this morning I received the ever elusive check to cash and wire a few hundred of it to him. I've already reported it to Craigslist. Unfortunately "Mr. Fellows" has gotten himself mixed up with the daughter of a cyber crime federal agent, so I'm not dumb lol. Again I thank you for the legitimate contact information because from what I've heard it seems to be a great company to work with.
Intouch Insight has only recently taken over Service Intelligence, which is how I 'know' them. Service Intelligence has been a mixed bag to deal with over the past year or two so the jury is still out as to whether it will be an improvement now that it is Intouch Insight. But yes, the check in the mail is a dead giveaway to "Mr. Fellows" ultimate scamming intent.
I have worked with InTouch and Experience Exchange (now also InTouch) for 3 years with no issues that were not quickly and easily resolved.
That is good to know. I have only worked the Experience Exchange/Service Intelligence side.
Well thank you, and I have to admitt my little devil on my shoulder is enjoying messing with "Mr.Fellows" for war he's done to I'm sure countless people. But I am also happy to announce that I have been contacted by the real In-touch Insight I believe I haven't had my phone call returned yet to confirm, but since you have worked with them upon being approved were you sent a shopper number and sign up for shops at www.shop4.intouchshoppers.com? I'm still a little hesitant since going through this and my call hasn't been returned yet.
Yes 'https://shop4.intouchshoppers.com/shopper/en/' indeed is the log in page and my shopper number was a 6 digit though I could not get it to work on their website so am on their system with my email address.
Hello Everyone,

I just want to let you know that Mr. Fellows is running a scam not only on websites but in the mail too. In-Touch is aware that he is using our logo and the autorities have been notified. Do not cash any cheque from this individual.

Nothing is free in life and nobody in their right mind would offer you tons of money upfront for "free". If you do get a letter from him, please notify your local autorities.

In-Touch will only pay you for work you have completed for them and not ask you for money up front! That is how mystery shopping works smiling smiley

you should never sign up for a mystery shopping company you found on Craigslist! Way too risky. It sounds like you got involved with a scammer using a legit company name. A legit company would never text you with an assignment the next day.
I have shopped for Service Intelligence for almost 2 years, shopping a certain convenience store chain. Last month, Intouch Insight took over the mystery shopping. I did 6 stores for them, was questioned on 3 of them (their problem in not receiving the receipts after sending them 2 times each PLUS submitting them with the report). Wasn't happy from the first, mandated purchase of some weird sandwich PLUS a $3 latte. SI paid $7 plus food reimbursement, Intouch paying a flat $15, no matter your expenses. Basically they just gave me a pay cut. I've got better things to do with my time, just did this to try to get the stores in my area to clean up their act, somewhat for the giggles, and for a free sub now and then. Good bye Intouch.
I've been doing a couple shops in my area for In-Touch and have found them to be very accommodating in working with me to meet my schedule needs. They are also very good about paying when they say they will.
I cannot find/remember when/how Insight pays. Anyone know offhand or have kept better track than me.

Direct deposit twice a month. They do send an email with a PDF attachment explaining what the payment was for.

Thanks and not to be a pain but do you know when those two times a month are? I have done a huge amount of work from them this month and don't want to lose track of it!

I just looked it up: on the 15th and the 1st. It has been couple of days earlier too, but never later.
Thanks so much - I did probably about ten the first half of the month so I should get that around the 1st. I don't like that you can't see your pay history on their site nor can you see what your direct deposit bank of record is...oh well. I liked how on Service Intelligence site you could check the pay history so easily. AGAIN THANKS!

after a shop shows as accepted it will be paid on the next cycle.
If it shows as pending then it wont be til the following cycle.

Thanks I can't remember when they were shown as accepted - it took awhile so probably about mid month. Will keep my eyes out. I only really work for them this one month a year so I don't have their system down.

Pays every 2 weeks. Do a few shops for them while on the road. Specially the one that the time of the day does not matter. Always need a lotto ticket or a snack.

expect the unexpected
I have done several shops for them and enjoying the work until the other day. When I came home to submit my report the shop was gone from my assignments. I emailed the scheduler with the job number in the subject line and asked why the job had been pulled from me and I have not received an answer. I would have done another round of shops for them but not until I hear from them. Has this happened to anyone else?
It happened once to me, AK Fan...but with another MSC. Like you, I'm hesitant to take on any more assignments in case it happens again.

Was that shop on the list to be accepted still? I "thought" I had applied for four and was automatically accepted a few weeks ago...it was the night after driving my niece to 20 some gas stations for tobacco shops and I was exhausted but I grabbed four of the shops they had for gas on the way home to make our weekend free. When I got home to put them on they were on my to do list but they were in the select shops list so I just reassigned them to myself and inputted them right then. I can't say for sure if they were on my list and disappeared or if I neglected to push the request button the night before due to my exhaustion but I had thought it was strange.
