CORI backup question???

Hey all!! I had applied to be a backup for a couple of CORI shops. I just received an email stating that those jobs are available. Only problem is that I can't find them anywhere to put them in my cart! I left a message for them but was wondering if one of you guys could help me out? Thanks!!

That whole backup thing doesn't seem to work real well and the job is not held until one of the backups responds. You may not have been the only backup and it's even possible that once it was posted again someone who wasn't even a backup grabbed the job. All you can do is keep checking the board to see if they show up again.

Thanks, I thought there was a special place tht they put the backups and I just wasn't finding it!
Why is it that there are some jobs they list and then when you put them into your cart, you cannot select a date to shop? If they aren't within the time frame they want you to take them, then why post them?
It's usually an issue with rotation. The previous visit may have gotten completed late and no one can schedule or it still might be too soon for you.

Lisa - The rotation issue doesn't enter into it as I have not done any shops for the client at all. In fact, I've only done one shop for CORI and my rating is 3.5. Their web site says you can't self assign if you have a rating of 3. I am able to self assign other shops but not the one particular client I was going for - perhaps it goes to the fact that it's more highly bonused?
That's why I said the previous visit may have been completed late. If the client has a 7 day rotation between shops and the last visit was yesterday then there won't be any dates available until 3 days before it can be shopped again. The good news is if you can't assign it no one else should be able to and it won't stop the commission from increasing.

Your other option is to call tomorrow and ask them what's up. You know they sometimes post the next round of the same shops before all of the previous jobs have been completed. Not once, but twice now I've tried to assign myself shops that were nearing deadline and had good bonuses only to not have dates available. In each case the scheduler found another shopper had self-assigned the new job and both times it was at the starting rate, LOL!

I will probably call them because others appear to be able to assign themselves and I've actually checked out several other jobs for other clients and all allow me to self assign EXCEPT for this one client. I've done the training and never done any shops at all for this client so don't understand why I was locked out. In fact, I was watching a shop for this client that had gone into the bonus area I wanted, tried to self assign, couldn't get it but someone else was able to. The calendar where you click the date you can shop is where it seems to be screwed up but only for this one client that I have never shopped. Screwy!
Are you saying it's happening on multiple jobs for that client or just the one job? If only the one job it doesn't seem like it would be you since your rating is sufficient and you wouldn't even be able to get to the job if you hadn't passed the test. Very odd. At least they are available by telephone and will help you outsmiling smiley

What I am saying is that I can self assign to X Comapny, C Company, G Company, etc. but I cannot seem to accept for P Company which is the one I want.
OK, I figured out what my problem was for not being able to self-assign a shop. It's their silly 3-day window thingy. Why would't they wait to post the job when we can actually request it? Doesn't make sense!
That's just themsmiling smiley Remember if the job is sitting there sometimes the commission will go up even though it can't be assigned. As far as I'm concerned, that works, LOL!

This happened with the first shop I tried to get from them. I sent them a message saying I was interested in the shop but it wouldn't allow me to select the day. Their response: that shop can't be done on a weekend. Ok...

Fast forward to after the weekend, I kept trying and it wouldn't let me. Eventually I got an email saying the comission was up to $50. Of course that's the day the shop was no longer available. Grr...

sferro - I know exactly what you mean. One of the shops I wanted someone else got because of their stupid 3-day window thingy. someone beat me to it. The second job I wanted I got but only because on one of my bathroom breaks in the middle of the night I went online and checked to see if I could get it and evidently I was in the 3-day period and got it.
I found that if I removed it from backup then logged back in I could find the shop if I did a find shops. I could then add it to my cart.

Not sure backup works at all.
