Yes and no. I don't have to spend time checking emails for shops (though I still do, LOL) or go to different job boards to find work. That in itself is extremely helpful. I simply sign in and if there's work, I do it. There are certain times of the month when there's always work and I'm a night owl so I tend to grab up the shops when they come in if there's not a lot of work as I'm the only regular night owl. I also have accounts that I do specifically, so that work's mine unless I don't bother to edit them.

If you're one that catches typos when you read, you'd probably make a good editor, though I can't say you'll "love" the work. Some days I wonder if some shoppers were half asleep when they wrote the reports or drunk. LOL Thankfully there are a good number of solid report writers, too. Or else I would've never come back to editing.

Well sometimes the shoppers probably are half-asleep when they are writing. I enjoy proof-reading and sometimes I think I'm actually anal about it. That said, I don't know how many reports I've typed after midnight when my brain has already switched off for the night. Sometimes in the light of day I end up reading what I've written and just shake my head. My mind is saying one thing but my fingers have ended up typing a different word altogether. I can honestly say I've never done a report under the influence though.

I've typed (and edited) many reports after midnight, even when my brain's half asleep. My fingers don't always cooperate anymore when I'm fully awake.

Being too anal can be a downside because you've got to let some stuff go or you'll make $3 an hour, if you're lucky. I'm a work in progress when it comes to that but I'm getting better. smiling smiley
How does one get editing jobs with MSC?

The four jobs I was offered, they approached me. However, let any company you have a great standing with and whose forms you like filling out that you're interested in editing. Ask if they have any open positions or if they've heard of anyone hiring. If the answer is no, see if they'll pass on your name so others know you're interested.
