did you perform a search?
I have been. I am not a fan of banking shops but my husband is underemployed right now so I am "branching" out so to speak.

The shops for the bank they do in my area is a pretty straight forward shop and I have actually enjoyed doing them. I ended up opening an account (with a nice fee) to use for even more shops.

Liz
From what I've seen they only do banking shops. Unless you have a lot of the branches they shop in the area you will be waitng around before you can shop with them again.

As for the suveys, depends on the client. The ones I shopped were straight forward. Attempt to open an acount, report what happened, how long you waited, what they offered you in specials, etc. Other clients might be different.

I stopped shopping them because the banks they used in my area made you enter the branch through a man trap and it was kind of creepy.

I have no idea what that means but it is certainly interesting to think about.

Liz
I LOVED them when they shopped their former client. There were 5 branches within my normal daily driving routine and they were shopped 2 to 4 times a month, both drive thru and inside tellers. And there was no rotation limits. I would do about 20 shops a month, plus all of my regular banking. Now they only have one client in my area with a long rotation, so not much activity.
They always pay on the set date, and the pay is fair for the work you do.
A man trap is where you enter through one door go into a little phone booth where there is another locked door. So you are stuck between glass and two locked doors. They then buzz you through into the bank and the door unlocks. Like I said creepy.

My opinion - They must have had some serious theats to put a customer through that on every visit. I'm not gonna hang around that bank. If the unsavories can't get in the next best thing is the customer in the parking lot. They also have a state police car in the parking lot. (no trooper - just the car!)

Ok well that is not the bank I shop for them...mine is in large discount stores. And I can see why you would why you would avoid that bank!

Liz
I've done the one in the large discount stores and I must say...it was a terrible experience. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that account open or not, just because I don't want to deal with the bank employees. Honesty, that was probably my worst MS experience ever. Pinnacle seems good to work for though. I have no complaints...that client though...ugh.

I have done about five different branches in my area in the past few weeks - just asking questions one and they have been super easy! Apparently the area I am in has the customer service thing down. But I agree - first bad experience and I am done with a bank shop. The money is handy now so I am glad it is working out for me.

Liz
I'm hoping it was just a one time deal. I'd love to pick up a few different bank shops every month. This one is near work and it really is an easy one, but the darn customer service is killing me!
I just did my first job for them. I opened an account and finished the report last week. So far, it has been a good experience. I was waiting to see if I would have to clarify anything in the report, but so far, so good.
Thanks, I am not about to open another bank account to pay Pinnacle to pay me a little bit to shop. Just more mental and book keeping clutter.

They have many shops that don't require opening an account. I started with those and then actually decided I wanted to open an account (I am of the age that I can have an account with them with absolutely no service charges) so I was happy to take the 50.00 to open the account. On one hand though you don't have to keep the account open, the mystery shopping company will close it for you after 20 days. At any rate I have the account now and am doing a deposit for more $$ tomorrow.

Liz
OH! How long Do you have to keep the account open to keep the $50? i already have a personal account at a credit union and business banking at a regular bank. thanks, Susan
Love, love, LOVE this company. I opened a bank account with a minimum of $25 at the end of the year last year for $85! Now I do $4 phone shops that are a breeze and $10-$15 teller/inquiry shops several times a month. The schedulers are great, editors are great and they pay when they say. I love this company. One of my absolute faves!

Susan...it used to be 6 months or they charge you a closing fee. But I do believe the accounts now will be closed in 2 weeks by Pinnacle. If you want to continue to do teller shops or phone shops you will need to keep your account open.

20 days - you close it through the mystery shopping company to avoid fees. If you choose to keep it open for teller shops they will pay your monthly fees...at least for the bank I am doing for them. The $50.00 is the fee for the shop and is not related to the bank account giving you that incentive.

And if you do incur any fees, they reimburse them. Unless you are a senior, I think there is a fee for the debit card, which you are required to get. They do reimburse that. They are a really nice company. Pay is pretty fast.
Thank you so much for clarifying this for me. I am going to apply as a shopper. Susan
I have been working with them for a long while. All bank fees are reimbursed in a timely manner except the $12 yearly debit card fee. You will get a lot of phone shops which are easy and they pay soon. I reccomend.
And actually, the bank is a really nice bank. I did this shop and planned to close the account after 20 days and take the money and run.....but I was bowled over by the bank. They offered everything I wanted and a friendly small-town-bank feel. I decided to keep the account and make it dedicated to my mystery shopping. I may open another one.

So do you deposit checks from mystery shopping jobs on shops there? I am keeping my account but in the conversation with the teller said it was going to be money I put aside for vacation. These small checks I get from mystery shopping companies would be great to use for deposit shops but I am not so sure that is a good idea.

Liz
I have deposited a couple of the less obvious ones - read that do not say "mystery shopper" in their name - but mostly I thought I would use it to transfer my PayPal payments. Most of my payments are PayPal these days.
