Baird

I am in this very cheerful, sunny place today (I don't know why, on a pain scale of one to OH MY GO___, it's edging ever closer to KILL ME NOW), but ANYWAY...

I know, as shoppers, we don't always get a chance to say "YAY GO!!" MSC. They don't always (or many times -ahem-) treat us the way they should and sometimes it's just a fight to get them to do what they should...

So, I thought I'd take this opportunity to say that my experiences, thus far, with Baird have been AWESOME. All caps and bold if I could. Their people are fantastic, their phones shops are incredibly easy and if you don't mind writing your PERSONAL OPINION (which always thrills me when it comes to mystery shopping, anyway, because I like to think that I can make a difference) then you'll love them! There are two other types of shops, onsite visits and patient appointments-- I guess I should say that my shops have all been medical shops--and not only are they easy (and fun, being covert can be exciting), but they pay well, too!

I don't know other people's experiences and I still haven't gotten to the payment portion of my assignments, but so far the experience has been total ACES! Just thought I'd say!

I'd forgotten about Baird Group. All I can find on their site is training sessions that appear to require me to go to Ft. Atkinson Wisconsin. On my own dime. What's the story there?

D'Agosto

"What does it mean? You ask. I answer not/For meaning, but myself must echo, What?/And tell it as I saw it, on the spot."
Hey D'Agosto,

I'm not one hundred percent certain, but I believe they offer both online and in-house training for shopping. You can (I believe, because I did it) take online training for all parts-- phone shopping, walk-through shopping and patient-care shopping. There are tests for each area, and the walk-through shopping's test is a little writing intensive, but considering what you're doing and what they're paying you _to do_, I don't find it out of line. [Just to clarify, I never went to Wisconsin for anything, and I don't live that far. =DD]

On a personal note, I was really surprised when, to my shock, I got an email this morning from the director congratulating me! I'd be selected by a few of Baird's employees for a "shopper of the month". It's a program they've been doing for two years because, as their director said, "many shoppers never get thanked."

Seriously, how cool is that?!

Shop for this company!! If you're a good writer and a hardworking shopper, you will be a great fit, I guarantee it! =D

All of our mystery shopping training is offered online - it is virtual. We are located in Fort Atkinson, WI so that is why it shows up for there but you can do everything from the comfort of your own home. This week we should have updated phone and on site training so it will even be better than before. I'm not sure where you live but we are currently looking for shoppers in Tulsa, OK area and Baltimore/ DC area. We move around throughout the country consistently so it is worth it to sign up and then take the phone certification once we are in your area. If you have any further questions please e-mail yolanda@baird-group.com and she will get you any information that you need. Thanks!

StacyW...I went to your site and am not finding the area to sign up as a mystery shopper. I am in Michigan so I am not sure if you have anything near here, but thought I could do phone shops. I have a 30+ year medical background and would find the type of shops you offer very interesting.

Can you point me in the direction of where to sign up at?

Thank you ~ Cindy
Of course I can help, Cindy! Go to Baird-group.com and then click on the mystery shopping tab. There is a link on that page to sign up as a new shopper. Here is the direct link as well [bairdgroup.clientsmart.com]

We are not currently in Michigan, but we are really recruiting everywhere since we are quickly branching into almost every state as we grow. We would love to have you sign up!

Thanks!

I used to shop for Baird. I stopped. Wish I could recall why and think it was because of fussy editors wanting to change my shopping experience. I could be wrong.
Rich,

I stopped back into this post (it's been a long while since I've had time to be on the board) to comment to your reply. I have to say, if you've stopped and you forget why, you might want to check back in with them and take their temperature now! I promise, I'm not a Baird plant (hehe), but Baird is BY FAR my favorite MSC. Every report I have ever written (and I'm up to fifty-something, now) has been reviewed and well edited. I wouldn't call my reviewer "fussy" (and holy cats! I had a SERIOUSLY NIGHTMARISH incident with a "fussy" editor from another MSC, recently), but smart and helpful. I have had probably 4% of my shops returned and they have always had helpful "hint(s)" in a section (they don't make you hunt their report for mysterious ways to fix them) that could be better. In many cases, it's just a matter of a missing sentence. Five minutes and you're done! =))

I would encourage you, especially if it has been a while, to go back and check out Baird. =) You never know, it might be a great fit!

Sending the best,

Jen
Rich,

I wanted to respond as well just be sure that you didn't have issues with our editors or anything else. Please feel free to e-mail me direct if you would like me to look into anything. Otherwise reach out to our one of our schedulers, yolanda@baird-group.com or sara@baird-group.com if you are wanting to know where we have work right now.

Thanks,

Stacy
