CORI Frustration

There has been a shop that has been heavily bonused for the past few days, however, when I go to look at the available jobs on the website it's never there. Do they block shops that you're not eligible for due to demographics?

Are you getting that in your email...because I had that happen two nights ago and I HAVE never seen that shop on their list this past month and I check twice daily. I did online chat help and they looked it up and said it had been assigned to another shopper. Try that.

Liz
I couldn't find one when it kept getting bonused in February. Looked at February and even March shops. I happened to scroll to the very bottom of the page and after February, March, and maybe even April, there was a lone shop from November. Figure that one out.

This one shop has gone up to $40. It's a college book store shop and every time I've looked at my available shop list after logging in it's nowhere to be found. Frustrating to say the least. I'd drive the 30 minutes to do a $40 shop.
Travelliz -- Thought it might have been assigned to another shopper then it would show up on the e-mail list again. Very strange.
I don't think they block shops you do not qualify for. I think you will still see them, but if you put them in your cart, you don't get the three days to pick from.
Have you expanded the search list beyond the 30 miles? That's another thing that is sometimes out of whack on many sites. Right now I see several age compliance shops and I'm certainly not eligible for those. The only other thing that comes to mind is someone having it in their cart unassigned. If they keep doing that you may have to hit it at the perfect time. Unless they are diligent and keep doing it every 2 hours then it will appear on the board. Also be sure you didn't sign up for a backup at some point. That can actually prevent you from seeing the shop on the available list.

I have had this happen. I emailed them about it and asked. I got a dumb answer and they told me it was already assinged and thanks....they didn't mention they assigned it to me!!!! I had to run out quick and get it done at 11:30 pm. Ooops.

I don't understand why some shops aren't showing up. Like for instance the yellow and blue gas station in my town. It shows up everywhere but my town. Weird. You would think if it was assigned it would at least show a B if it hasn't been done yet vs. not showing at all.

Glad others having this issue...I was starting take offense even though I have 5 rating. LOL.
They have one of the screwiest sites ever. If it's worth it to me I'll call and that has always resulted in getting the job even if they have to change another shopper's date. That happens when someone ignores the heavy bonus on the older shop and assigns themselves the new one, LOL!

Yes the College Book store will not show up on your list if you are too old. The one I was looking at was a shoe store I have done before.

Liz
Well, that totally sucks especially a lot of older folks are now going back to college because they've lost their jobs.
Lisa -- There are other shops on the list in the same town. Of course, those are at a low rate that makes it not worth the trip.
Don't discount expanding the search. There are towns all around me where a 30 mile search will reveal some shops and I have to change it to 50 to find others.

That's interesting about the college bookstores Liz. It makes sense, but why I am seeing other shops with a max age of 25. Granted, I'm only a couple of years past it don't you know!

I shop for cori only in rare circumstances now, but i still see get their emails. The email sends out the shops with the amounts regardless of whether you are on rotation, excluded for demographics or other reason. Only when you login, will you see the shop listed, if you are determined eligible by the system.

Been that way for as long as I can remember.

I do a lot of work for them and have nothing bad to say. All the editors and schedulers have been great to me. Been doing it for 3 years
Avitoots - I know the college bookstore requiremnt sucks. There are 2 I could do for $40 & $50. I turned 50 in Feb. and AMAZINGLY I can still read!!!!!!!!!! And alot of us "Senior Citizens" go back to college. I have been with them for 7 years and no complaints until this morning - spoke to 2 schedulers and both were RUDE and short about an isuue I called to discuss (not related to the bookstore shop). Wish we could evaluate THEIR customer service!
I was getting daily "price increases in your area" emails from CORI for awhile. Suddenly I stopped getting them. Has anyone else noticed that, or did I somehow unsubscribe myself?
I have one question about CORI. I have actually done only 3 because I had no time to watch the rate go higher. Anyway, I took the tests and got the certifications for all the shops I was interested in. Got 5 on all the shops I completed.

Checked available shops and was surprised to see 'qualify' on the same shop I just did. Has this happened to anyone else? How often do you have to take the test? I did not know one has to take them each time.
Sometimes there are multiple types of shops for a client, like one swim shop has several: a phone shop, a regular shop, something else..... one test qualifies you only for one of the types. And there is a fastfood that many of us tested for last month or earlier and something apparently has changed, everyone is required to re-test for this client. I hear from others the shop hasn't changed ..... so who knows?

I do very few for them since this is an area of numerous shoppers and somebody always grabs all the CORI shops before the rates go up, and, consequently, before they are high enough for me to consider taking. But keep your eyes open .... sometimes I run across one that is really high....in most cases it wasn't there a day or 2 ago, so I'm guessing somebody flakes and they have to get it shopped quickly.
This is the very same shop. I just did it last week. As I cannot mention the name, you will know it is the very same treat or lunch or dinner shop. The test was not that hard but time-consuming. I will not be wasting my time on shops that are more into reimbursements than fee. So I guess CORI is a gonner for me as far as than particular shop is concerned. Thanks for the explanation.

Yeah...that treat or dinner shop changed something in the training...I didn't even look to tell you the truth, I just tested and go over it.

If you wait a bit, toward the end of the month or toward the due date for that shop you can get them for $20 + I do. I take them when on route for lunches or dinners. I wouldn't take for the starting offer because I value my 15 minutes of report writing/pic upload more than that.smiling smiley
Thanks You know I took practically all the tests so I would be ready when an attractive offer becomes available. But they have very limited shops for me that are worth it. So, I guess there will be no addition to the 3 CoRI shops
for me for a while.

Oh, I did receive a reply to my query:
"All training flags were reset as the client updated the training."
They aren't alone in the frequent updating of test. I had shop for GFK just a few weeks ago and several days after signing up for another got an e-mail that I should have taken the test within 12 hours. Huh? There was nothing to indicate I needed to test again and you find it by going into View/Submit on the Sassie site. Since the shop isn't until June 1 why would I be looking at that, LOL!

Bottom line, for jobs I have done a lot of and/or recently I always go in and give the test a run-through before looking at the instructions. For both the CORI and GFK tests I scored 100% on the first try so it only took about a minute each.

LOL. I doubt they even review the reports. At first I was shocked at the 5 but they told me that was the highest. Anyway, not my favourite MSC.
