Video shopping

I'm about to do my first shops using my own equipment, the PV500 Lite with a button camera. I have done video shops with borrowed equipment, but it was a long time ago, and I don't remember which button had the camera. I guess my question is, what is a good position for my button camera? Mid-chest, or the next button up? I would really appreciate input, thanks!

I'm sure this isn't the answer you want to hear. I can't tell yousmiling smiley So much depends on your height and build and how you are planning on securing the camera. Mine sits in my cleavage and most of the time it works well. The best thing to do is try it out.

Stacy,
Before you alter your shirt, try out the camera in a couple of positions and see which works best. I use the "peep hole" in my front door to represent the upper torso of the target and adjust my camera position accordingly. Or use a relative or friend for a test before cutting that new button hole. One size does NOT fit all.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I did try a couple of locations, using my son as a target. The cleavage spot worked best for me, and I just did my first 2 shops this afternoon. The first looks okay, although tilted. I'm just checking out the second one now. Thanks for the help!
I've had the tilted videosad smiley

Was it accepted? I'm waiting to hear back from the MSC.
For mine the tilt was minimal and it was accepted. You know how it goes, it will depend on the MSC and the client. I honestly can't even remember the type of shop, let alone the MSC.

I think that every video shopper has had the odd 5 minutes of video of their own nostrils. I check the orientation of the button frequently just in case I can see the face of the button. If I can, it's time to readjust "on the fly."

I place the camera in the top button hole of the shirt then secure it to the top half of a paint stirring stick which slides just underneath your bra (sorry guys, can't help you on this one!!). The camera never moves because there is no way possible that it can! I learned this trick from, in my opinion, the best video shopping company out there. I would not take off with video shopping without the patience, guidance, and mentoring from a MSC. Otherwise, you may get frustrated and quickly discouraged.
