Secret Shopping Service Payments

Has anyone done a shop for Secret Shopping Service lately? I did a shop in early March and to date I have not been paid. I have sent numerous emails that have been ignored. It's really sad because the shop required that you mail back the $50 gift card if not awarded during the shop and the instructions talked about the integrity of shoppers that had not returned them. Yeah right, now I understand why the shopper's have not been returning them because the company has not been honoring their payment commitments to shoppers that are honest and score 10/10 on their shops.

Sorry for venting but I'm a little mad. I want my money and the postage it cost to send that card back. I guess I will have to let it go but let this be a warning, this company does not pay what they owe!

I have never had them NOT pay, but it seems to me they are on a 3 month pay cycle. That may also be why they have not responded to your emails. I don't work with them often because of the lengthy pay cycle, but they aren't on my 'deadbeats' list.

If you did the shop in March, figure that March 31st was the last day of "March Shops". April 1st would start the 90 days.. April, May, June - so:

90 days from then would be June 30th.

If they are on a 90 day pay cycle as Flash posted above, then they are *Not Late* with your payment until early July. (paypal deposit, mailing, etc...)

You cannot really say they are not paying unless and until the 90 day mark is over. Unfortunately, but that's how it goes. It's also why, when a lot of shoppers set up their spreadsheets they list the MSC's pay cycle.

I don't know where you are getting 90 days from but the shoppers agreement says 6 weeks. They don't equate to the same. Six weeks from March 9 is April 20. It is now June 5 which now makes it 13 weeks. I believe I was completely justified in my post. You should really check your information before agreeing with incorrect information.

Instead of forgetting about the $50 + why not send them a certified letter with a copy of the shop and a copy of the postage for sending ( I always suggest sending back those cards with signature required , so that you can point at a person who received the card at the company) telling them they forgot to pay you. and please do so immediately.

If anybody there has any brains at that office, they'll know the next certified letter is going to advise them your taking legal action, advising Better Business Bureau and every Shopper's site to Beware of working for Secret Shopping Service - non payer - and then do it including ...small claims court.
