OK to register if the site has no security certificate?

Is it safe to provide Social Security number and Paypal email address to a web page that does NOT have that https or padlock? Or one that does not display a security certificate when you right-click the page? That's what happens when I try to register with a certain Mystery Shop company. The company is one of he very top companies that is consistently recommended on Mystery Shp Forum. Also, their client list includes top stores. But I really don’t like any web page that asks for SSN and Paypal address without that https or padlock. I notice that when I started to enter the SSN, the actual numbers appeared (as opposed to asterisks which is meant to protect the integrity of the SSN). Yes, it is their real site; I accessed it by following the link on the MSPA page. LMK, thanks.

I would be hesitant regardless. There is certainly nothing wrong with mentioning the name of the company since you are expressing a legitimate concern. Many companies monitor the board and a rep may see the post and be able to address the problem. Another option is to see if you fill out everything else and then contact them. They may not be aware there is an issue.

Regarding Customer Perspectives, I see that they are not registered with the Better Business Bureau.
They have received 5 complaints, 2 of which were handled with BBB assistance. The BBB was unable to locate or contact CP about the other three complaints.

You do not have to give your social security number during the application process. It will allow you to skip it.
Yes true. As far as I am aware CP is legit. My SS # is with many MSCs that I work for and no discernable problem in 6 years.
I may be wrong but I think there was a thread about Customer Perpectives recently and there appear to be two MSC with the name.
Customer Perspectives located in NH is a great and reliable company. To tell you the truth, I never noticed their site was not secure and you're right. It is not. I've never had a problem with pay or anyone hacking anything, but if I were to register now, I would probably call them or send my SS# in a different way. They were one of the first I ever shopped with and I probably didn't know better back then.

Does anyone know what thweir py schedule is ?

30 or 45 days ?

nothing listed in search on them as far as pay schedule.
Google is your friend. From their site,

"CP will pay you on behalf of the client in the month following completion of the project."

Making them net 30. FYI, when in doubt, check the ICA. If it is not listed anywhere else, it is almost always there.
