They are a legitimate company that has a history of doing background checks for government secret clearace applicants, for instance. They have a contract with HHS to send observers to check to see if firms that are claiming to offer Medicare services are actually doing business or not. Much like standard business verifications. I live quite near the office where they process the applications for this project, so I hand carried my application and picture and spent a few minutes chatting with folks there. It is a very secure facility, as you might expect. The security background checks are done by employees, not IC, by the way.
The Medicare project is required by Congress, beginning this year and is just getting up and running. The assignments are simple and pay what you would ecpect for more complex BVs. The training is easy and straightforward. This company is NOT in the regular MS business, so don't expect them to show up on MSPA or other lists of MSCs.
