who is wal-mart,sears can-tire etc

Does anyone know which companies handle the larger department store chains. I am signed with a lot of companies but I have never seen any really big department store lists. Someone said they probably use their own staff but that wouldn't make sense.

Thanks

Fortune8one,

Actually, Walmart does have their own shopping force. I'm not sure about Sears and any others. I'll post the link, which is on my other PC, when I find it. They don't pay much which is why I never bothered to register. They may give you gift cards as an incentive to work with them.

Peace!
Happy Shopping!

Indeed Walmart does their own though occasionally you will find a shop there or merchandising there that is done on behalf of the vendor rather than Walmart (such as their cell phone vendor or the hamburger place or the banks that rent space inside the store). I also have shopped Walmart itself as a competitor shop for another client.

Sears is done by a low paying MSP and usually as a price audit. Macy's is shopped with no reimbursement and about an $80 purchase requirement across some several departments. There are also vendor shops at Macy's that are combo mystery/reveal. None of these shops pay for squat and I have never been reimbursed for purchase requirement.
Ironic, isn't Flash? The big wigs don't pay but the little guys do! Go figure. Don't they get it?
They have all those scams out there advertising that shoppers can come out of big name department stores with bags and bags of 'obviously free' merchandise so especially new shoppers are just salivating to get their first big name department store gig. Unfortunately they don't get better. And some of them even want you to do two reports a day apart (i.e. two visits), one to purchase the item(s) and one to return it(them) and report on both transactions for one fee that was cheap even for a one part shop. And some shoppers feel like they have really gotten away with a good deal because if they decide to keep the merchandise they don't have to do the return portion of the shop--just pay for overpriced merchandise out of their own pocket.
I do a lot of merchandising jobs at Walmart for one particular company. They merchandise for several companies. I've done cell phone many times, and pet clothes a couple of times. The company pays a reasonable rate, they are very quick and easy to do. And with so many Walmarts around I rarely travel more than 10-12 miles to do them.
Those Macy's jobs are ridiculous. Who has $80.00 to spend on a shop? I notice they sit on the boards forever.
The notion on the Macy's is that you will return the stuff, so if you put it on your credit card and returned it a day or so later the chances are that it would be cleared from your card prior to billing. If I KNOW I am going to be in the area twice in a week I am likely to pick one up. I don't spend much time looking for stuff. I go to the store entrance where there is most frequently easy parking and hit the 4 departments closest to the door. In my case that is towels, baby clothes, young men's apparel and fashion watches. I grab a couple of towels on sale, an "adorable" kid's outfit that is $20-$25, a pair of shorts and a watch and bingo in under 20 minutes I have at least a $20 purchase in each department. I don't buy stuff I want or need and there is no temptation to keep it. The stuff goes in the trunk and gets taken out to return it next trip. But the fee only justifies one trip so if I'm not doing other stuff in the area I just won't be bothered.
wow. the macy's one is not very appealing. give me the FUN SHOP!!! yay! they open in 2009; and so does wholepaycheck in Sept and Dec. the latter two are minutes from my home. the fun shop is worth the drive for the quality/price trade even with no fun shop attached.

wholepaycheck I have only seen as a competitor shop.
Why would I want to shop (for myself) at any place called wholepaycheck? They sound overpriced. What kind of place is it? Designer names for twice the price?
wholepaycheck when googled turns out to be a forum of commercials for whole foods. I left after the cheese blurb...shame,shame. Some of us really wants leads to jobs.

Indeed "wholepaycheck" refers to Whole Foods markets which are notoriously expensive, make all the "right" noises about the environmental responsibility and healthy foods to persuade Yuppies and GenXers that it is the only responsible place to shop. I won't start a brouhaha here by indicating my take on the "rightness" of an outfit like Whole Foods. Suffice it to say that I will not shop there and have even rejected doing competitor shops there.

If you are really looking for leads to jobs you need to go to Jobslinger.com and see who is doing what shops in your area. The same client is likely to use different companies for shops in different parts of the country, so any "leads" you may pick up here are just as likely to not be appropriate to your area.

I want the pet clothes shop. Sneakers needs a new suit, and Foxy has nothing to wear to a party next week.

I have done many sears and the shop takes an hour for 5.00and I can't mention the company but if you do exxon's you know the company. Flash is it alright to put it that way" Rambles

Those photos are right on the home pages of the MSP's; never mind the ads. The Gapbuster woman carries TWO shopping bags and flaunts them.
Heck, I did a shoe store this evening and had to make a special trip to the car to load in my shopping bags. Luckily I didn't have to spend a cent at the shoe store--the bags were from neighboring retailers with really good sales and all on my nickel. smiling smiley
I love Whole Paycheck and will shop there for some groceries without "shopping" after they open here. But since they are pricey I do call them that. Same with the Fun Shop store. I will shop there even having to go halfway across island as we love that store.
