Intern. Serv. Check

Hey has anyone done mystery shopping for this crowd? Would like your feedback..I have just signed up, did their assessments that is general and McD and was very excited that everything was going so smoothly until I received my first assignment almost hours later, read through the detail and got to the fees...in this day and age they want to hand out a payment of AUD7 for all up 3 hrs work!!! for a McD stint..mcD being a multibillion dollar company Is this real..I did not hesitate to let them know what I thought. I read some of the forum input and I am surprised that so many of you are forgiving!! You don't have to settle for the unprofessional behaviour of the field coordinators...AUD7 cannot believe it..do they think I was born in the bush...
I wonder if McD know what they are paying...

Welcome to the forum, but methinks you need to edit or delete your post:

It is against the IC agreements we sign to disclose the client that you shop for a particular MSC ... in other words, you can post either the name of the MSC OR the client but not both. You can edit your post to fix this.

I question whether the MSC you write about is even the correct one for this client. My experience with International Service Check has shown them to work with high-end clients. My experience with ISC has been excellent.
Like most large MSC they start out low balling shoppers to see if anyone out there is desperate and eventually double or triple the fees when no one wants to accept the shop. Unfortunately some shoppers not value themselves enough and accept shops with such ridiculously low fees.

I did a few of their shops but I find their reporting to be tedious and when I see a very high end client asking for a shop to be done for $12 I laugh it off and wonder if ISC have any grasp on reality whatsoever. The $12 would not even pay my dry cleaning bill as many of these assignments require you to dress the part.
Well good for you PizzaPizza...i am not working for pittance in this day and age especially when there is a high profile company involved..I cancelled my registration with them and this has left a bad taste in my mouth for mystery shopping...in fact they got back to me and said this amount has not been changed for years...hello!
Something seems strange here. I've never seen I.S.C. post shops for this client. In my area, their shops are high end and well paying.
I do not know about this MSC, however in general you are an independent contractor. Only take shops t hat you feel are good for you. They are offered to you and you are in no way obligated If you continue getting upset about the situation. which will not change, your head will explode.
I also have never seen this msc with ff shops. They shop high end retail.

Thanks guys...before i could remove myself they removed my details because i said i am not wasting my time...i am in Australia maybe that's why you never saw it...I am not sure if it was a scam but everything that came thro was legitimate and looked professional..speak soon when i am not p'sd off again..wil change my name then smiling smiley
Yeah, we rarely get anything other than US or occasionally Canadian shoppers here so that could be the mix up. I for one, would love to hear how shopping is going in Australia. PM me if you have time to talk about this. Thanks.
Mystery Shopping in Australia...i am not sure as this was my first for mystery shopping..but as for general shopping retail is suffering and trying to come up with all sorts of ideas...otherwise people continue to buy as there are many sales around..there is doom and gloom but I do believe we are lot better off than many other parts of the globe
I've only performed one shop for them in four years. That was a high end retail shop and the pay was on the upper end of the scale here in the States. A lot can change in four yearswinking smiley

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I have done about 4 shops for them, retail and a high end watch shop where I got $78.00 toward a watch. I see them as a viable MSC, easy to converse with, and although their reports are redundent and long, the company and shops and pay sit well with me. Never had a problem, and would work for them in a heartbeat.
