and you need a background check to do it first...

Seriously? I thought that was really low-paying "covert" job.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

What's the deal with the criminal background check? The shops in my area are due 7/5. Doesn't background checks take time?
I considered it, but I would prefer it to just be an audit and not also a purchase and return.
worse you have to audit the 100 pairs of shoes and then do the multi purchase and returns all unrevealed...Let me check security tags on 100 pairs of shoes in a small not very busy store without anyone asking questions...

Let me guess, $15, or am I shooting to high?

change the 1 to a 2. Paying surprisingly "high" for them, but that just means it probably should pay closer to 100 with the work involved.

That is a surprising number. Another notoriously cheap MSC has 100 item announced audits for the same rate. No purchase, no return. Hard to think there would be a job that would make them look good, LOL!

They require a background check first, you have to o.k. that, and I presume they pay for it. I'm waiting to hear, but a bit nervous as to amount of work.

Live consciously....
Forget it.

Not even worth it to me and I can make more money doing plenty of other shops without the headache...
I saw that posting but to be honest I thought it sounded like a much better deal than the Trader Joe's audits. I can't imagine the TJ's one as I have enough trouble reading the prices on the shelves that are right in front of me, let alone the shelves low and high. My eyesight just isn't good enough.
They already have enough information on us, let alone submitting to a background check for $25.00 for crying out loud! I say no way!!
Not me. I read this over several times thinking that I must be missing something. This is soo wrong on so many levels. Would love to hear from anyone who accomplished this feet/feat.
I'd be curious to know how the shops went too. It looked like a TON of work for the fee.
100 item covert audit, plus a purchase/return for $25?

Did someone pipe angel dust into Beyond Hello's office ventilation? That's lunacy.

I could care less about the background check, so long as I'm not paying for it.
I saw this one as well and said "No thank you".....I agree, this would look very suspect to store employees and also rather time intensive. Even if you only looked at each pair of shoes for 30 seconds, we are still looking at nearly one hour of work, not to mention the return portion. Nope, not worth my time.
This sounds exactly like the purple port hole shop where you go into a really small store and they want you to audit 50 items in an inter-city area. The security would be on your tail so fast.

I do not see how these covert shops can be done without being detained and asked why you are in the store for a half-hour at least, A normal shopper does not do that. What do you tell a clerk?, "Just looking." OR "It is hot out there I am taking an air conditioning break." If they detain you they may plant an item on you to "justify" the detainment just so you do not sue them.

I do not know where the shops are but I would be very very careful you are not exposing yourself to a lot more hassle and wind up with nothing to show for it but an attempted shoplifting charge.

Why is it covert and not revealed? This should be a revealed shop unless you are doing it for the competition. How do you talk yourself out of that?

It smells like fish left out in the summer, something that smells and should be left alone! I am not that desperate or foolish.
This store in my area is super small and has one employee who follows you everywhere. No wonder they still have it listed. No bonus. But even with a large bonus I would turn it down.
ITA....I wouldn't do this shop for $K! Too much of a headache, or maybe I'm getting lazy. LOL smiling smiley

I did this. It was really fast. I was in and out in half an hour. The report is really simple too, with almost no narrative. It may have been easy for me because my store was compliant. The associates didn't notice, as it's a large store.

I'd do it again.

Sounded like the "job from hell" to me. Didn't give it a second thought for such a low price and all that work.

Almost seems like the company's strategy with that is to get the mystery shopper to find a pair, two, or three that they like when they buy. And then actually buy it ha ha

A shoe sampler!

I have done this shop in the past. I have a few stores near me. This is a simple shop, easy to do, and only takes a few minutes. I took all of 20 minutes and was slow. If they did a criminal back ground check I wouldn't know. I am badged at the airport, which has a criminal back ground check.

In the shoe department count out 25 pairs of shoes. Go down the rows 4 times, your done! The only shoes tagged are over a certain amount. I incorporate jobs like this while I'm shopping anyway! I have never found an error. EASY!.

No one has noticed in these small stores. How many shoes do you try on anyway! Two or three pairs of more!

I have to defend Beyond Hello.
I did this one. It only took 20 minutes and was super easy. The only thing I didn't like was returning the shoes right away. That was pretty awkward. Other than that I thought it was easy.
I did several of these after trying one because I was afraid of how long it would really take. They were surprisingly fast and easy. I made the return within 5 minutes without any problem. Checking the 100 shoes surprisingly took about 5-7 minutes tops! The check out took the longest because of lines 5+min. I would definitely do more! Quick $250 !!!
I do a lot of work for Beyond Hello and have applied for this shop a few times but never gotten it. I too think it seems easy enough based on the job description.

I went to do one at a far away location and more as a fill in with a bonused job I was doing at that mall. With my great luck that day, the shoe associate came to do inventory audit and straighten the shoes section when I was there. Otherwise, they are ok but you need to go at a time when it is busy.
