Market Force and Profits

I've been around this line of work for 9 years. I am wondering if ANYONE has every gotten Marker Force to talk profits for us as contractors?

Last year I took several projects they had, and ran the numbers, and saw it was less than min wage after expenses. Just to be clear, the monthly expenses were broken by day, and the surcharges & fuel were treated.

They recently contacted me asking if I wanted to come back, and when I mention I like to earn more than min wage, I can't seem to find someone on thier ends who will talk numbers. I e-mail I am ignored, I use the 1-800 number, and the reps are at best immature, and not open to reason.

I only sign up for projects that are really close to home or are fill in for multi shop travel days. They often have projects that take like 10 minutes and pay $8 and the reports are all always easy. I think the easy reports are the biggest thing that keeps me signing up for shops with them. I have had schedulers call me and offer me a bit of a bonus to do a needed shop but its generally only a couple of bucks.
lol...

Are you implying that you can seriously make a profit off mystery shopping? I've been doing this for four years now, maybe almost five.. By the time I calculate in gas and vehicle expenses, I rarely make more than minimum wage.

But... I reap benefits from the reimbursements, and this work is flexible.

MarketForce will bonus all their work to get it done. The problem is, they have such a large shopper base, that they rarely need to bonus very much. I find that they will bonus certain locations that are remote, and they will bonus photographic audit work--everything else is snagged by shoppers, as the previous poster said, to fill in their work schedule.

The reports are usually easy to complete, and they don't take the time that other MSC reports require unless pics are involved.
Actually Ms. Baker, I did some work for a company back in May. I earned $680 for 3 days work, and got a free puppy. Solid profits, and a new security system.
While I do agree that profits can be made, I am unsure about "talking numbers" with Marketforce. IMO, either take the fee they are offering or don't take the assignment.
It can be very obvious by the fees and the minimum amount of time on-site just how much or how little a company wants you to make. MF considers mystery shopping a minimum wage job and tries to price their assignments accordingly. The fact they regularly deactivate long time shoppers shows their focus is a constant influx of new shoppers. They have no interest in experience and no desire to have "full-time or professional" shoppers in their ranks. That is their business model and obviously works well for them.

You won't get rich on Market Force.

You won't come out too far ahead (unless you snag a bonused job)

You might even come out "even" or take a loss on the low paying fast foods and "cold cream" shopssmiling smiley

If you have a huge problem and want to get rich, don't shop Market Force.

If you want low to average pay, shop MFsmiling smiley

If you love their shops (I do) then you route many in a day and it all makes some sensesmiling smiley
If you want to get financially independent working as a MS you have to take the money you earn and invest it into something that is very profitable such as real estate or a good self employment brick and mortar business. For example: lets say your earn $3000 a year working part time as a Mystery Shopper, ( that's do-able right?) let's say you take that money each year and put it down on a house and rent it out. In five years 5 houses. Let's say a profit of $500 per house that $2500 a month. That is the kind of stuff that Mystery Shopping offers.

And... what company was this with. I want to know if they have work in my area... but then, I think of those two-day audits that one MSC does, and I'm not interested in that.

I do find there are two types of shoppers... urban shoppers and rural shoppers... and each has different problems. I would think the urban shopper would have higher profits because they have less travel expenses.

And how do you "route many in a day" with MarketForce who has a limit of four shops a day? Four shops a day with MF will not fill a paycheck
A free puppy?????????????????????????????
I shop both urban and rural and rural shops make bank a helluva lot faster. The travel expenses aren't even that bad when there is a lot of interstate and highway driving. If I shop the city the gas gets burned sitting in traffic.

BTW, blue portal will bonus for routes and will waive the 4 day shop rule at times.

Yes, I figure these shops pay about min. wage too. I try to do them only if they are close to home or get bonused. Make sure the schedulers have your phone number so they can reach you when they have bonused shops to schedule.
I found the replies in this thread a bit strange.

I make decent money from MF in both portals........ but I almost never take the jobs at the posted prices.

Maybe because there is a lack of MS in my area I am able to pick up some nice jobs.

They know if they ring me up at the last minute that the job will 100% get done.

If they deactivate me it will be their loss.
Just doing Market Force or other low fee or reimbursement only jobs of course is not going to make profits. I equal or exceed my Social Security amount in net fees and reimbursements per month, wotking part time at MS. I use Market Force only to pay for groceries at the large chain of stores that I would normally shop, and get nice bonuses near the end of the month on top.

If you don't like what they offer, don't go there.
