Beyond Hello Mall Shop

I just received an email from them. Do a mall evaluation for a 2.95 reimbursement. Something must be wrong. I read it, reread it, went to their site and there it is. Shoppers fee 25.00. You are required to buy a gift card for 20.00 or 25.00 dollars. They reimburse you the 2.95 gift card fee and nothing else. Huh? I did 2 of these for another MSC and after the money laid out for the card and the reimbursed fee I made 18.00. What gives?

It seems like every time this shop is offered the same question comes up. You are being paid $25 and reimbursed for the service charge.

You need to take the gift card out of the mix. Yes you purchase it for $25, but you also have that $25 value on the card to keep and spend.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I hear you Lisa. We have beat this topic to a pulp. I was taken aback when they said the only fee is the 2.95 GC charge. No other fee. I've only performed 2 of these but, have never seen that verbiage.

My email says the amount of the GC is not reinbursed.

That is the language they are using to say they are not reimbursing you the 25 for the gift card BUT you are being PAID 25 for the shop. Going to try and find the thread on this from last time as toward the end of it people started to understand...and seriously the wording of a couple of these posts are almost word for word like the posts on that thread.

I just bumped up that thread - it's titled Please explain to me hot whis is good and its on the Mystery shopping discussion thread.

You are not reimbursed for the gift card because the money never leaves your hand. You trade the $20 for a $20 gift card, so you have control of the money the whole time. You can still do what you like with the $20.

Then a few weeks later, you get a check or paypal payment for $27.50. You come out way ahead.

Sigh...I just wish I'd get chosen to do one of these shops! Mall is right in my town, but I'm never picked. sad smiley Not sure why...have high ratings, and I've with Beyond Hello for over four years.

I went to the website and looked at a job posting. The fee was clearly listed as $25. Hmmm. I wonder if it was the e-mail that was worded differently. I've turned off e-mail notifications from them. If this project is ongoing, I may have to turn them back onwinking smiley

I can imagine what shop has caused you to turn off the email notifications but I just delete those as they come in. I have done a variety of different shops for them in the past year and some fall in the better paying category. You might want to turn those back on and see what comes through.

For them it wasn't a specific shop, just so many that were in other states. Bare I turned off over the shipping shops. I eventually turn them back on, just sometimes they find my last nerve and get right on it.

Ahh got it. I just delete delete. I hate to miss out on any notifcations because some pretty cool ones have come my way that I would have never expected. There are a few that I am tempted to though.
