Yes I've noticed that too. Either cut the narrative OR up the pay! That can be frustrating and confusing at times, as some of the questions are repetitive, but the quick pay is good.
Way too much for $10. I pass on those jobs.
Yea they're by far the WORST fast paying MSC in terms of narrative..I wanted to shoot myself with 20+ questions lol. Never again, I'm taking them off my list.
Does anyone know which MS companies besides Trend Source does on-site business verification? These are the shops where you go and verify that the business is for real (correct address, etc) and take photos of the exterior and interior.
they warn you before taking that particular job that it requires extensive narrative. Most of their jobs do not require that much narrative, just on negative questions.

I have done two of the onsite business verifications and enjoyed them. They've taken me less than an hour so $19 seemed reasonable to me. I take a lot of the form of questions with me and we just read from that.
One of the first jobs was with Trend and I thought it was me, but the narrative is time comsumming. I chalked it up to experience rather than $7 pay, now I know a little more and haven't been back since.

I did an audit as well and I had over 60 questions to answer, not Doin those ever again for $19
The only job I gave up was a verification where you needed to take mesurament. Nowhere on the guidelines explained what I needed to measure, but the test was ful of questions about it (that's how I figured out I needed to measure something). I ask them to releave me from the job and give it to someone else. They did so saying they would give me better material to study oon (never got it).

I disagree. I find Trendsource reports to be easy and BestMark to be much harder. The only long report for Trendsoure are the insurance ones at year end, but those pay well. Love the BV!

To each his own but Bestmark is a piece of cake compared to them. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it lol
I do their upscale grocery and take as many as I can, report medium, quizz easy...I've done more intensive reports and have to wait 3 months for pay.
I'll do them anytime, did one on the 3rd., $$ in bank on the 6th. Doing something over and over makes it easier.

I've never done anything for them. I've come close a couple of times. The first time, they asked if I could do an assignment, I said yes and ended up as "back up". The second time, they told me to tell them what I would charge for what would amount to a 200 mile round trip. I told them, and they said they found someone closer. So Friday, I get an email saying that there is a shop that they need help with that needs to be completed by Sunday, and I should email distance fee requirements. I immediately email them a relatviely low figure because I am going to be in the general area on Saturday anyway. I don't hear anything until Saturday night, hours after I have returned home. (Not driving another 160 miles for the amount I told them) I declined the shop. Does that make me a flake to them?

They have a reveal shop where you will be reimbursed for your expenses, as well as the money you have to award a successful employee. I was fine with the expenses, but the reward money? No way! I felt like I was financing the project to generate more revenues for the company. I declined.

Same here! Why should I have to take $10 o.o.p. to award the employee then wait for my reimbursement? What if the shop's rejected? Also, the meal being shopped is not very good IMO. Lots of reasons to pass on this project...
In the past, this project was for a lunch/dinner meal, shoppers were provided with gift cards to make the purchase (getting to keep any balance left over on the card) and the employee reward was sent directly to the employee from the company.
I wonder why they tried to fix something that wasn't broken, at least from the shopper's POV.

Trendsource's business model is to pay low, but sooner than most MSCs. They well are aware that some shoppers would prefer/require rapid payment and are willing to sacrifice a more substantial fee. A few yrs. ago, a shopper posted on Volition that she didn't care how much she was paid as long as it quickly arrived. It, again, is a matter of to each his/her own.
I opted out of the BVs, because it was very difficult to schedule other work in a mini-route, which meant all expenses fell to that shop. If you figure the time for the calls and driving, the visit, gas and submission, the fee had an unacceptable work:pay ratio for me.

I like BVs, but cannot take them because of the uncertainly of date and time for the appointment. I do not like having to leave the next 72 hours available for the appointment; I am usually booked with shops. Having said that, BVs are easy to do and if I had a few free days at the end of the month, I will take them.

They have Medicare (no client) shops now. Well paying. You can PM me for details. (all ICA approved).
I did three of their reveal / $10 reward shops. I was paid for the first THE NEXT DAY. The other two, I was paid within a week.

Yes they pay on time which is great but a lot of detail for $10.
I always thought Trendsource had some of the easiest reports in the business, so we must be getting totally different shops. I can't remember any report requiring more than about 3 or 4 sentences total.

Thanks cubbie for the heads up. I may eat my words, but am doing one thrs and am prepared for long narrative for $34 as long as I don't have a lot of other reports due that day. I just do not get a lot of shops that pay that much and so far glad for it.
Speaking of Trendsource...I was paid in 2 days!
i do fast food shops for trendsource and i think they are reasonable in the narrative dept. when i shopped for bestmark they wanted all sorts of narrative and would only reimburse for food . at least trendsource gives you a little pay.
maybe bestmark has other types of shops but i do not like to go out to eat -take a friend who also gets a meal and then go home and write a report and then get no money--except what i spent. i prefer to make money and eat where i like when i like. to each his own i guess. i do not usually do shops unless you get money above the reimbursement.

There Medicare shops are horrific, I did a couple and no more...good luck Cynb, let us know. Could just be me, but I didn't jive and do them for another MSC which is easier.

Have never seen any insurance or medicare shops around here offered by them. Just some grocery stores, an office supply store and checking a display in a FF location. Those reports are easy, but can see where the others might be a bear.
