Petco LuvMyPet Vet Shops

Has anyone done these? How are you supposed to get everyone's name if you're only observing from afar and not participating? Asking would be ridiculous. Other than that they should be a cinch.

If you are in the area, wander in and look around, go talk to them about your cat and fees for services, etc. when you are not on a shop. One location here the space is small enough that even with poor eyesight you could probably read name tags and if you interacted when not on a shop and got the info, returning on a shop at about the same time of day would probably yield the same cast of characters. Another location just opened near me and I don't think the job would be feasible at all.
That's not the problem. The shop says not to use the name tags because they're often wrong. Huh? This is so goofy that I've never signed with these, although I pass 2 of them almost daily. It's just bothering me that I can make some easy money with a bunch of these every month, and the requirement is so stupid. You know I don't have a great choice of shops here.
Yes, "Huh?" People don't usually address an employee by name, only another employee is likely to do that. In an area where there is only one employee or employees are focusing on customer service rather than asking each other questions you are unlikely to get the names if you stand there 'unobtrusively' for hours. Thanks, I would just use the bloody name tags and description. If they are playing games with name tags they need to be nailed.
Sit down for this. Ready? The directions say the shopper should ASK them their names. Using just the name tags will lead to shop rejection. FUGETTABOUTIT! This one goes into the "Stupid Shop Directions" bin!

Has anyone done these shops?
I don't have these near me, but one time when I forgot an employee's name, I called from my car and asked who I was talking to and that I wanted to talk to Debbie. There was no Debbie but I got the name. I already knew the name of the only other employee there, so I knew I had the right person. There are only so many times you can do this, but maybe you can remember them the next time you see them.
You're clever.

One day I didn't get the CSR's attire in a bank, so I went back in with my face near the floor, saying I had dropped a key in there. As I straightened up I eyeballed all her clothing from shoes up.
You are right, Sneakers, they do have stupid shop directions.

I did one of shops but was able to participate. I had to get the Vet's name after the vaccinations were completed. Her face nearly dropped to the floor because she knew she was just shopped. It was kind of funny and I got free vaccinations for my dog to boot!
These sound fun. I'd like to do one but cant find one. I found a few for the other big pet store, but Petco isn't near me.
I see shops for these all the time, I dont need shots for my cat and I think that the requirements are strange.I dont think alot of people like these jobs and I bet the report is lengthy....And for what.....I dont think that I want to spend my weekend doing this job, sneakers you are right it is under the stupid shop directions bin....
I have done four or five shops for this MSP and found them to be easy to work for and pay fairly well. I have so far chosen not to do a pet shop clinic because they seem awkward and cumbersome including having to ask four persons their names but only after your observations are made. I might get a pet some and would likely do these shops as it seems much easier with a pet.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Petco vacinnation shops are a killer. I did one in the summer and there were at least 40 dogs in the room. It was impossible to get near the vet to ask his name so I used the name on his tag. My shop was rejected and I'll never do a Petco vacinnation shop again.
