who doesnt use paypal?

I have been having some fraud issues with Paypal for a few months. They do not want to work with me on fixing the issue and ignore my contact unless they think they can get some obscene amount of money from me as a way to fix things. I somehow managed to get them to release the money in my account and so I finally gave up and asked a friend to allow me to receive a few mystery shop payments that Paypal refused to accept through my account into their account. I have a couple of companies I work with that use direct deposit or send checks. Which I prefer anyways, no waiting an additional week for your money to be transfered to your bank account. What companies do you work with that don't require a Paypal account?

I've used PayPal for years, never had a problem. I'm not sure what you mean, "no waiting an additional week for your money to be transfered to your bank account." PP and DD are the quickest, checks the slowest. Some MSCs use DD, some PP and some checks which means you rarely have a choice of the payment method. HarlandClarke and Bestmark pay by check. Anyway, good luck with your fraud. You never did mention exactly what your fraud issue was.

I don't even know what the fraud issue is. They don't want to work with me on resolving things. I have been told my information matches another account that has a negative balance of several hundred dollars. I spoke soomeone in fraud/security department who would investigate and call me back within 24 hrs. They never did. Next person I spoke to said they don't return calls and I was supposed to call them. And now I can't fight it because its already been investigated and they can't look into it again. A check might not be as fast, in fact it might take just as long as paypal. But its not like, oh I need cash but wait I have to wait an additional 3-5 days to withdraw the money even though its already in my posession.
I had the same issue with Paypal two years ago before I stated MS. It was difficult for me to find clients that did not use paypal. I have managed to find several and it seems that more and more companies are going to DD and other payment options.
The problem with Paypal is they wanted all this information from me to resolve the situation but never would tell me what the situation was. I was the one that reported the money missing from my accounts and they never responded back on how that was done. My accounts were just closed and missing money was given back to me but now every time I try and open an account it wont go through. Its very frustrating. I communicated with them back and forth for 5 months and then decided I didn't Need them or the hassle.
I'm in the middle of a lawsuit against them. Last court date judge told them stop being stubborn and settle with me because it's not likely they will win. If I win I can get up to triple damages so they are definitely pressing their luck . Bottom line is, they have become to big for their own good!

Luckily I've been able to resolve a couple of issues over the years with Paypal but I find them difficult to communicate and work with.
I assure you they will communicate as soon as they are slapped with a lawsuit! Even then they try and circumvent the court rules because they dont think they should apply to them. The judge reprimanded them for trying to not play by the rules whenever they please.

I am sorry to hear about the problems with paypal. I do not have enough info to comment. All I want to add is that I have been dealing with paypal for 7 years with no problems. I have a paypal debit card and the $ is immediate.
I've used PayPal for almost 10 years, both for MS payments and for payments from eBay sales. I've probably received over $75K through them over that time, and I've never had a fraud or payment issue. Their debit card also pays a 1% rebate on charges....

Why does it take so long to receive the ACH deposit from paypal? Mine are in the bank and avialable in 48 hours, consistently. I bank at a little rinky dink local banking chain. My PP volume is maybe $60K a year, and I have never had a problem receiving transfers; no holds on my funds, no BS, no chargebacks that I do not understand. Maybe ten years back I was doing 3x my current volume through paypal (gotta love ebay) and still no problems.

Have you discussed the time lag with your bank? Also I am surprised you are having problems with PP CSRs. I have never had a problem and NEVER have been asked for money to solve a problem.

Don't back down with them - ask for a supervisor, get a real reason as to what the problem is. Ever since ebay bought them the CS response has improved enormously. On a side note their integration with USPS and eBay is superb; their site is easier to use for shipping and postage that USPS.com - well, that figures I guess - paypal/ebay is neither union nor gov't employee staffed smiling smiley
I've always figured it is an issue with the receiving bank. Mine were originally 2 to 3 days and now it's been shortened to 1 or 2.

I initiated a transfer at 6:20 pm my time on Wednesday and it was in my account at 8 am on Friday morning. Less than 38 hours. Meanwhile, if I had deposited a check after 2 pm on Wednesday, it would not have been available until the same time. If I deposit a check after 2 pm on Friday, it may not be available until the following Tuesday, while PayPal transfers initiated late on Friday evenings are available to me on Monday morning. Since PayPal also doesn't takes me less than a minute and no gas, is it obvious why I hate paper checks, lol!

Shortysgirl - Some of the companies I get direct deposit from are Corporate Research (Stericycle), Bare, Market Force, and MSI (Trendsource). Some of the companies I get checks from are New Image, Maritz, Quality Assessments (QAMS), Informa, Bestmark, Sinclair, Strategic Reflections, Business Resources, and TNS.

So far so good with PayPal for me. Sorry you had a problem with them and hope you can get it worked out.

my bank allows me to deposit paper checks using their smartphone app. No visit to the bank needed, and if it's deposited before 9p Eastern time, it's available for use the next business day : )

Service Intelligence uses direct deposit. Second to None, Sentry and Customer Service Experts don't require PayPal.
Besides those mentioned, Amusement Advantage offers three choices (PayPal, PayQuicker, and I think direct deposit. Otherwise check.) ACE offers PayQuicker.

As for the deposit into bank accounts with PayPal, I've wondered if it has anything to do with the geographic area, like perhaps certain people at PayPal work on certain regions. I've had PayPal deposited into three different bank accounts and it always takes three business days, as long as I've transferred the money before 2 p.m. Otherwise it's four days. Like clockwork.
Most likely it is the receiving bank. They may have it, but not post it or make the funds available. When I processed ACHs they were set up to leave my company's bank that day and hit the receiving bank the following day. Most people saw it the next day, but some did not see the money for several days.

My credit union sets it up so ACH deposits are automatically applied. I know this only because I had issues with an unethical credit card merchant that tried to get extra money from my account from July to October, though I'd canceled in June. They even tried six months later to bill me, as if I wouldn't notice. My credit union reversed the charges, then had to change my one account so that ACHs were manually entered. Later I opened a second checking account and that's where my PayPal payments go. That account keeps a $0 balance unless something was just transferred.

So I have no idea why it takes me longer to get PayPal payments, but it does. If it was just my one bank, which I can't stand, then I'd say they're at fault. Heck! I love to blame them for everything I can because I really don't like them. They're the little bank with the big bank attitude. But it's easier to stay because hubby's direct deposit goes there. To change it, it has to be done online somewhere and he's clueless how to do it. So I've resigned to staying with them until I look forward to banging my head on a wall. In all fairness, they haven't been such a PITA the last few years so I can deal.
OK Just to remake my point, if you get paypal payments, get a PP debit card. It is immediate. No worries.
Personally, that is not easier for me. I want everything going through one place, my bank. I can track everything and pull reports for taxes.

Paypal's debit card isn't free to take the money out and has limits on daily withdrawals...

As far as quickest turn around time, bank of america is the fastest with transferring money in electronically. No matter where it is from, always available next day.

As far as actually liking the service of BOA, that's a different story for a different time.
