URGENT - Missing Shop with MCP

I performed a shop for MCP last night that is due tonight (Monday, August 20th) at midnight. I just logged onto the site to start working on my report and the shop has disappeared from my shop log.

I pulled up my original "You've been assigned..." e-mail just to double check the due date and I have the correct date. I called the office but they are closed. I e-mailed my scheduler with the original e-mail but I have a feeling that he won't get it until tomorrow morning. I do not have any e-mails from MCP.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? If yes, how was it resolved?

P.S. This is a company that I do work for on a regular basis. I have performed five shops for them in August not counting the one from last night. And yes, I confirmed that I was doing the shop on their website.

I work for them a lot. My experience has been that they are one of the most accomodating schedulers ever. They will extend your due date rather than rescheduling it. I do not know why it dissapeared. Let me know for future reference.
I agree that this MSC has very understanding and accomodating schedulers. Let us know, please, how it goes.

UPDATE: I heard back from my scheduler. He did some research and said that this shop was already performed on August 12th. I sent him the original "You've been assigned..." confirmation e-mail dated August 19th at 1:06am (yes, I am a night owl!) His response was that he didn't need my report because it was performed and submitted almost a whole week earlier.

I have my hard copy printout of my shop log showing this particular shop on it with a due date on August 20th. I am not going to pursue the issue anymore. Lost out on a $15.00 payment, my time on a Sunday afternoon, and gas money.

How could this possibly happen though? Me being assigned a shop that was already performed? And it was not a reshop.

Why not contact them a work out a partial fee? You have the evidence of the shop being assigned and you performed it in good faith. Since you didn't have to fill out a report would a reduced amount be fair? Mistakes happen and they should be willing to share in the loss.

Good point, LisaSTL. Would I go through my scheduler for that or contact a supervisor at the MSC?

Going over their head right away could cause some hard feelings. If they haven't yet, the supervisor will now need to be told about the error. Give them a chance to do it first.

MCP messed up a couple of my shops one time. The fee was unusually high for the job requirements, so I snapped it up & performed it. It was graded & I received high marks. But then I wasn't paid.

I called & they said that the shop had been rejected. What? How did I get high marks?

I didn't pursue the matter because within 24 hours, the accounting person at MCP sent another email that she couldn't see any reason why the shop was rejected & she authorized the payment to go out the next cycle. I was paid as promised, but I'm not sure they actually used the shop because it was strange.

Anyway, MCP is a great company and they work hard to accommodate shoppers.
This error had nothing to do with me. I think it was a glitch in their system. Somehow I was assigned a shop that was already performed by another shopper.

I performed it on Sunday evening but when I went to submit the report on Monday morning, it has disappeared. According to the scheduler, I won't be paid for it even though it was not my mistake. I am out my time and some gas. But I didn't have to take the time to write the report and the commentaries.

This is my first "incident" with this MSC. I won't hold this against them at this time. I am keeping all my printouts and paperwork though...just in case.

I would pursue it. That really sucks. Let us know the outcome.
