Yes, they are picky. They expect you to have a good grasp of English grammar and sentence structure; know how to properly punctuate your sentences and quotations; have a vocabulary of an educated adult; and be able to spell or run a spell check application.
If you like apt. shops and are good at them, you will get the hang of the reports. Get your report in timely (12 hours), and you get an automatic $5 or $7 extra. Get gold certified and get another bonus.
The phone calls are easy; just write down the call as you listen to it. Time consuming? Yes, but easy.
The on-site visit part of the form is redundant. You can copy and paste your comments from the overall/summary (whatever they call it) and paste into the smaller narratives, sometimes needing to change a few words or leave some out.
The call is taped in case the client doesn't believe the report. The client doesn't want to have to listen to every call. That's why they pay for the report.
If you are spending that long on a report, it sounds like you are new to MS and RE. Again, if you like apt shops and are good at them, stick with Remington. They have a ton of shops in the Baltimore/Washington area.
