Remington Evaluations

Has anyone shopped for this company? I have and they are so pickey. You have to call the apartment community and the call is recorded and then after you complete the shop they want you to go through the entire telephone conversation step by step so now you have to listen the the entire telephone call and write each thing down as it is said, and do not put anything out of the correct order or you will be called on that also. Ah! Why is the call taped? I have completed two shops of theirs and each time it has been sent back for not enough information. They pay $30 and you end up working for less than $2 an hour.

Yikes! Those shops must be a PITA if they take 15 hours.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I have done lots of their shops in the past. I learned to just ask for specific guidance on what they wanted, and to deliver exactly what was ordered. They are picky but relable and supportive.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Yes, they are picky. They expect you to have a good grasp of English grammar and sentence structure; know how to properly punctuate your sentences and quotations; have a vocabulary of an educated adult; and be able to spell or run a spell check application.

If you like apt. shops and are good at them, you will get the hang of the reports. Get your report in timely (12 hours), and you get an automatic $5 or $7 extra. Get gold certified and get another bonus.

The phone calls are easy; just write down the call as you listen to it. Time consuming? Yes, but easy.

The on-site visit part of the form is redundant. You can copy and paste your comments from the overall/summary (whatever they call it) and paste into the smaller narratives, sometimes needing to change a few words or leave some out.

The call is taped in case the client doesn't believe the report. The client doesn't want to have to listen to every call. That's why they pay for the report.

If you are spending that long on a report, it sounds like you are new to MS and RE. Again, if you like apt shops and are good at them, stick with Remington. They have a ton of shops in the Baltimore/Washington area.

No problem with them. But their ICA is stringent. I don't like the locations of clients they have in my area. I don't have any issue with the reports or payment. I have been paid the bonus for certified shoppers, though I'm not.
