Remington Evaluators

Has anyone heard of this company. I received an email about it and went to the website but did not register. The fees seem realistic but I did not see the company listed on the bottom of this forum. They state that they ar MSPA registered. From the email, it looks like they do apartments.

Remington Evaluations is a legitimate company. [www.remysteryshops.com]

They have been discussed on the forum. Try the Search function, for Remington, and choose all dates. They're a good company.
Insight, I did my first shop for Remington last week. The owner was helpful and responsive when I had questions. I enjoyed working with her and, given the chance, I would work with her again. I thought the pay was fair. Remington requires invoice billing at the end of the shop. Overall, it was a good company for me.
Just did one for them - pay good however very very very long report, scenarios are about 20 pages long! They need 2 months for payment. You make your invoice (takes time)- they start the clock on payment after the client accepts, then after you invoice, then after they say they got the invoice the countdown to money really counts. I should be paid by Feb!
Remington is being reviewed in Monday's issue of Mystery Shopper Magazine.

They have apartment shops - pay is ok because they are a bit of a pain. You have to keep calling until you get your target person. Then you have to take a long apartment tour and have a long writeup.

They are a bit underhanded in that they tell you you get a $7 turnaround bonus if you do it in 12 hours. But if they ask you for any clarification questions, then they take your bonus away. Keep in mind that the write ups are extensive, so they could ask a clarification question even if you did a great job.

I don't think I will perform a Remington shop again for that reason. Sometimes you just feel cheated by people and life is too short to deal with that garbage. Even the email I got back from the President, Sarah Leeke, seemed a bit too smug for my taste. I've only had a couple companies I've worked with that are as uncompromising (and in my view, a bit underhanded). Feel free to form your own views.
I. Did one ship for them
They excluded the7 bonus because they sent report back for clarification.
It was the first and only time I did a shop.
The question they asked for clarification was answered properly in the first submit.
I had saved a copy.
All I did was hit re submit without changing anything when sent back.
They only sent it back to
Invalidate the7 bonus
As far as I'm concerned I
Got ripped off
Remington is SUCH a pain. I did a shop for them because it looked easier than EPMS. NOT!!! They wanted more write-ups than EPMS. They want a narrative..such as "I said this, he said that, he then asked me this, and I answered this way"..I never remember everything word for word. I can remember if I was asked a certain questions and what was said about the property. I refuse to write out a script again.
I hear you guys - trying to remember every word in a 45-minute conversation is not possible. My last shop I got a perfect score with no clarification questions. If I don't get the bonus, it's time to give them a huge black mark for lack of trust and integrity. (Frankly, I'm probably already there but at least I'll know that there is no question about them being scam artists, so to speak.)

It's too bad - why risk everything you're trying to build for a measly $7 bonus? Come on!
I have no problem with their pay or requirements. However, their ICA is beyond stringent. Proceed with caution.
I am new to this mystery shopping and my first shop was with Remington . All I can say is the schedulers were very nice to work with but the shop itself was very detailed. An extremely long report and if you don't have a good memory and great writing skills don't work with this company. The pay is ok but I haven't been paid yet. I read it takes a long time to be reimbursed once you send your invoice to them. I will update once I am paid!!
