The new Hero shops from GFK

They finally arrive here. Weren't they paying $10 + $5 last time? $7.50 is really insulting, for all that price auditing. I'll pass these up unless I'm in the neighborhood.

Yes, last time around they were $10 + $5. This time you also take along your tape measure to make some measurements smiling smiley
Yes it is kind of a low fee but the report is supposed to be shorter. I was given an earlier choice of three as a bonus due to taking a gas station she posted. When I questioned why no amount was showing for the purchase reimbursement, the scheduler said she didn't know why the web site wasn't showing it. These shops are close to home so at least I hope to be making something. Seven more were listed on my available visits but I don't know if I want to do more as yet. When they were $10.00 plus, it was worth doing them.
Having not done these before, I'd like to hear comments regarding the reveal; any bad instances, if the employee did not up sell and therefore did not pass? How did you handle it?
I've had no problems with these. Most of the time either the 'sandwich artist' (gimme a break!) or the cashier will do the upsell, if not both. If not, the sheet that you give them is still a positive spin on the situation so they still have 'next time' to look forward to. Their excitement at winning generally makes it worthwhile in an otherwise boring day.

I have found that they are sometimes reluctant to let me speak with the manager if they did not pass, and if that happens I just put on my non-angry 'this is business' face. I have had cashiers tell me they were the manager where I didn't believe it for a minute, but if they print their name as manager and sign the paperwork as manager, it is between them and the company to sort out what the heck they think they are doing.
They've corrected the site to $7.50 + $5. Do you still have to get the prices of 40 items?
There are 15 prices to enter; other pricing details are most expensive, least expensive. I must say after reading the buzz here I was looking forward to doing these. The reality has changed my smiling smiley to a sad smiley
Because the shops are reveals, there is no problem with just staring and the board and writing down the numbers. Granted these are not high paying jobs--at $12.50 total value they are below my normal $15 minimum. But we like the sandwiches, so I have 2 scheduled per afternoon for a few days and we will be having sandwich suppers. Mostly it will be a turkey for me picked up at the first location and a meatball marinara picked up at the second. I'll get my little song and dance done and take them home.
As with other reimbursement shops, they can only be justified as money-saving if you would normally buy there. I don't, so the $7.50 is not worth my time and printing expense.
Understood. I did one of these in the previous round without enthusiasm because I remembered their sandwiches from before as being pretty bad. I was pleasantly surprised because they had significantly improved. Based on those, I found my significant other was independently picking up the sandwiches for lunch at work from time to time. So the sandwiches for us will be a nice change of pace.
They also said you could bring a ruler... so just put your finger and keep going, though a tape measure would be easier.

I'm excited about it, but then I love their sandwiches... so why not get paid to do it instead of spending money smiling smiley. It blows I missed out when we would have gotten paid more though.
I have a 12-foot and an 8-foot; should be enough. But all the Dec. shops have already been taken here.
I left 17 on the board because I had already maxed out. They sat for several days and then woooosh, they were all gone. Subsequently they have posted one more and hopefully there will be more posted once I start getting my current ones reported.
As usual, good shops here go as soon as they're posted.
Even mediocre shops go as soon as they're posted.
Even bad shops...
Oh Sneaks, that is so awful-when even the bad shops go like hotcakes you know the area is either not shopped much, has WAY too many shoppers, or both!
