Sounds like December and January around here. I still haven't figured out how I got a few really good December shops the first week in January. They had to have been flakes or reshops. This month things appear to be normalizing.

I'm hoping that they normalize for me next month. The only thing missing from CoRI's job board right now is a graphic of a tumbleweed cavorting across the screen.

Actually, CORI is my highest averaging pay for companies that regularly have shops in my area. I don't tend to have a ton of options with many companies, but I rarely take a job from them under $20. Most are over $30. We all need to do what works for us.

It's very clear that someone in my area thinks that unbonused CoRI assigments work for them. Sad. Many of these projects disappeared at only a third to a fourth of their usual going rate. sad smiley

I have been shopping for CORI for the last five months and they have been wonderful!
Yes, I said that.....I lost a receipt on one of my gas shops and CORI allowed me to re-shop it the next day.
Luckily for me it was a non-reveal gas shop and the employee at the register was different from the first day I shopped it.

Wait till the end of the month to make money? Well if you have been shopping since 2008 (willgolf4fun) you would be using that time to shop for other companies that are paying more. I also had a few problems entering reports at the beginning but worked through it like many others on this board. I had a question today on their gas shops so instead of emailing I decided to just call, Rachel answered and was pleasant, professional and courteous; with my question answered I was able to get back to my busy day.

I love doing the Pie shops here in S. Cali, I wait till it pays $20.00+ It's a great way to start ones day, a free breakfast and $20.00. They also have a great lunch and dinner.

Boycott? Please do so I can do more shops for CORI!
Jan, sorry this didn't work for you but I can't join you in a group quit.

Ugh... I have heard so many back and forth critiques on this company. Being new to MSing, it makes me want to try it out even more just to see! I will be glad when they are able to accept reports from Safari! I guess to each there own.
CoRI is definitely worth giving a whirl. Their bonused assignments can be very nice, if projects are given the chance to sit on the boards long enough to be lucrative. Otherwise, the jobs are picked off by the Chicken Littles at $4 a pop as soon as they are posted. Assignments have clear guidelines and are doable. The self-assign feature is great when planning out routes or filling in gaps in your schedule. CoRI doesn't provide annoying feedback on reports. Payments are made regularly. However, many shoppers have had maddening issues with their website when submitting reports.

Okay Jim, you've changed my mind. PLEASE SHOP MY AREA! I'll pick up the bonuses on the reshops.

Thanks for showing us your true colors.

Completely uncalled for.

Austinmom states the truths here....stop shopping CoRI and boycott them...I will pick up all the bonused shops in the mean time. More work for me, because you can't take the heat and don't know how to play the game. .
Hello jimntx3 - I hope this will be goodbye. It hasn't been a pleasure.

Wow, I have never heard such a bunch of whiners !!! CRI is an excellent company to work for . I've done over 320 shops for them in 17 months (earnings over $7,000). I have had 4 shops rejected in total. All have been my mistakes (normally, missing one thing and this was in my first 3 months). I email them and ask to re-shop and there was no issueswith re-shopping. No bragging.... but I have a perfect rating of 5 and I'm proud of that and try to excel at what I do. What is a bummer..... New shoppers taking 10 to 15 jobs at $5 or $6 comm. plus remb. I just sign up as a backup and normally , I end up with 7 or 8 shops when they do them wrong.
If you do what you are suppose to do, there should be no issues. One other thing .....the most annoying thing is a shopper taking one shop that screws up my route. I traveled over 450 miles this past week, My earnings were for over $500. It could have been better....One shopper takes one job or maybe two. When you sign up as a backup and they screw it up, now you are 75-100 miles away from that shop and you can't do it.
One other thing shoppers !!!! Stop pre-assigning !!! All the commission are low and are always in the beginning of the month.
I just had a "new" or "brain dead" shopper take 17 shops @ $4-6 commisions plus remb. That's about $100 plus remb. Last month I did all those shops and $300 plus the remb. It's almost like the stock market, you have to keep watching and take a chance. CRI is an excellent payor too. If you do shops every week for them you get cash every week. Some companies take for ever, getting paid at the end of the following month. This will probably be my only post. I only found this forum looking for what company does Citgo gas stations. Claaberrules, welcome to the forum. Too bad all those other shoppers are messing up your business. I'm happy to say that I didn't have to start out at the bottom and screw up the business because I was born a full fledged shopper complete with recorder, two top quality digital cameras, three laptops, an IPad, a Smartphone, two video rigs, a desktop scanner, a portable scanner, and three economy cars so I'm never down for repairs. I didn't have to start from the bottom, and I can tell from your post that you also started out right at the tippy top with a complete skill set which allowed you to perform at the top of the scale from the very first shop. This allows both of us to act superior and be condescending to other shoppers.

I couldn't agree with you more that it's inconsiderate when another shopper takes a shop that belongs to me, especially when they don't know what they're doing anyway and it's going to pop back up on the board at a time when I'm booked in the opposite direction and I can't snap it up. I'm impressed by your 5 rating with Corporate Research, which is also one of my favorite companies and was my top money maker last year. Although you are obviously a top rated shopper with them, I want to assure you I am their No. 1 head honcho and no one has a higher score than I have attained. I'm surprised you get any shops at all because they usually call me and offer me dibs on whatever I prefer to be doing that week.

It's obvious you already know everything you need to know, but I'm going to throw out a little tip anyway. You need to get a traveling dog to accompany you on your routes. I have a traveling companion dog, Billy Buddy, who goes with me everywhere and is very handy when I need some assistance on site. BBuddy usually takes the pump shots while I'm inside the stations getting the LOA signed, and then we've off to the next location. I know I'm not allowed to have assistance on the stations, but BBuddy is entirely discreet and would never turn me in. If you get a traveling dog of your own, you can knock out a lot more locations and maybe you would have better luck picking up some of those backup comebacks.

I have been preassigning for several years, and I will be eternally grateful to you for advising me to cut it out. I had been accepting all the preassigned stuff at $4.00 per shot because I'm so ignorant I hadn't caught on to this myself. Are you telling me that these shops go up over $4.00? Who knew? Not me. I never noticed. I'm going to pay closer attention and see if I can catch them at $5.00 or maybe even as high as $6.00. That should increase my shop average considerably and maybe I will finally be able to make some money doing this instead of losing money every month. Losing money every month for years has been hard on my nestegg, and it's a good thing I had some money tucked away when I retired. Otherwise, this business would have trashed me out to zero by now. I have been trying and trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. You are such a treasure to help me out.

What a loss to all of us that this will be your only post. I'm crushed as I was hoping you would post over and over pointing out how stupid I am. Sometimes I get up in the morning and I look in the mirror and say to myself, "Well, you're doing OK." Now I know that is just a hallucination and I don't know squat about anything. Thank you so much for getting me straightened out.

I'm sure you will be quitting mystery shopping/auditing soon because you will have made so much money you will be able to retire and live on the .005 per cent interest currently being paid on savings accounts. Or perhaps you will invest in the stock market and either make a killing or get killed, depending on which day you get in and what's going on in the world. I'm sure with your outstanding comprehension you'll be able to figure out how to handle that.

Please don't get your feelings hurt if I may have said something disturbing. It gets me off to a rocky start to begin my day reading about how stupid I am, so I apologize in advance if I have inadvertently said something overly unkind.

I thought he was calling us "winners." Or was it "whiners?" Maybe I took it in a good way since my rating is a 5 and I know it is hard to reach that pinnacle with CORI.

There is currently a waiting list, but I will be happy to add your name and call you when it is available.

Glad to know it's not only me that had to get straightened out. How I wish this poster was planning on returning to share more truths with us. I was so hoping that my mystery shopping business would be a success, and without guidance such as this, I am sure to be doomed.

I've reported his post to the moderators and hope he won't be back. I take back my welcome in the other thread. I'm glad he's having fun .... and I hope he goes somewhere else to have it.
