Intellishop feedback

I have done many shops for Intellishop and I usually get the typical minor spelling and grammatical errors as part of the feedback. This time I got the following: Thank you for your report. Be sure to double check your formatting.

Does anyone know what this means. I use the same formatting for all of my reports.

I don't know, but the last one I got said:

"Comments: Hi Shopper,
Thank you for your report. Be sure to upload your upright. Thanks."

What the heck does, "Be sure to upload your upright" mean?

I responded asking what that meant, but did not receive a response.

Not sure about the first one but for the second on I imagine they left out the word receipt.

I find they always have to have something to mention.

I wondered if they meant receipt too, but it was uploaded and I don't think you can even upload one after the report is graded. I checked my pdf and the receipt is oriented correctly (upright?).
If y'all don't understand how to upload your uprights, you obviously didn't read the guidelines. There is a detailed section on how to upload your uprights. It is an entirely different procedure from downloading your parallels and you will have to master both skills if you expect to receive a high grade.

It means you got paid, on to the next shop. smiling smiley

But seriously, did you copy and paste narrative? Sometimes that hoses the formatting of a paragraph.

I love intellishop, but I think the people are required to find at least one fault. Generally for me its just minor grammar issues like commas, but I have seen all kinds of issues. I still average a 9/10 with them though!

LOL!!!

And then, Mary! -dies-

That laughter was SO needed. =)
I also love intellishop and the 9 rating for the minor spelling and grammar errors doesn't bother me. For this one I had received an 8 for a formatting error that I still don't understand. I looked at a PDF copy of the report and it looks fine. Anyway, the scheduler was great and rectified it for me.

Aaahhhhaaaa. I copy and paste. Not intellishop, but another one said I should separate my paragraphs, which I had done. When I looked at my report before submission it looked just fine. I don't understand why it would not look the smae on the other end? Anybody care to comment? I use a macbook pro. thanks, Guys, Susan
Won't do their cars shops anymore. I did a good job on telling them whether the salesperson breathed or not and they still sent it back to me because it wasn't good enough.
With their car shops they want a lot of detail. I provide so much detail they probably get tired by the time that they are finished reading it. That is also why I will not take them at the pay that they initially offer. I always negotiate a higher pay that covers the time I spend on the report or I will not do the shop.
I don't care for this company they have always tried to find some reason to not pay.....only once did I not get paid and that was enough for me.....
The internet listing is not and okay to do the shop. If you are doing hotels and you want to fit them into your schedule, or to do multiples you lose. They take their time in answering and will not necessarily give you the shop. You see a listing and you are available to do said shop: tough. Wait, is their motto, we will decide if you get the shop. Consideration for making the necessary reservation, etc is not even an afterthought with them.

You are either a qualified shopper or, you are not on the list. I was told that they like to choose who is to do their shop and then determine who gets the shop. All of us, shoppers, are left to hang out in the cold.
This is what I received from my last shop with them for their fast food company. I received a "6", which I've never received anything less than an 8, but was told I did an "Excellent job?":

Your report was completed accurately and with attention to detail. You displayed a thorough understanding of what was required. It was very well written with good quality supporting comments. Some points were deducted due to the following reasons: the time you exited the drive-thru was adjusted to match the time on the receipt, some sentence structure and grammatical errors were revised, and two of the boxes you selected were changed to match the narrative portions that explained the selections. Excellent job!

How the heck can they change my times just because of what was on the receipt! I know what I time I got there and what time I left. Also all of my boxes were exactly as what was in the narrative because I do the boxes first and then back and do the narratives according to what I've checked. Needless to say, I won't be doing their fast food shops anymore because of the editors always giving me low scores for nothing! Urrgh...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."
It depends on the editor. I've only had one ten and that was on a car shop. On the next one, I got an 8 or a 9, can't remember. The difference in the two was that I did a much better job on the 8 or 9 than I did on the 10. I guarantee it.

My new motto of the day: Don't grin and bear it. Instead, grin and bank it.

I've never had issues with them. The company that does Jiffy Lube however, they gave me a 9 for not clarifying a no response. But I did. Oh well, only one point. And I only did it because most shops for that company you need an 8 or 9 to accept the good shops.

Oh dear! I am a new shopper and am doing my first shops tomorrow, two fast food places. Now I'm worried I'll mess up! I plan to go buy a stopwatch before my first shop- any recommendations on something thats easy to use and maybe allows you to keep multiple times?
I use my audio recorder to do my times instead of a stop watch. if you have a smart phone there are stopwatch apps.

For Android smartphones "Hybrid Stopwatch" has worked well for me. It has multiple lap counters that you can push and it records the results on a running time basis. When you are done you can email them to yourself. Easiest timer I have found.

Much depends on the individual editor. I've done dozens of FF shops for them at the same chain over the past few months and have gotten to the point where the format and structure of the reports is repeated each time. Most times they get a 10/10, but sometimes I get dinged for "formatting" and "spelling and grammar" issues even where my Word spelling and grammar check finds no errors. There is at least one editor there who does not recognize "graffito" as the singular of "graffiti"....
I've never seen a "graffito" before. And how would you know where the first graffito ended and a second graffito began to make it graffiti?

Is a graffito the first letter they spray, or the first word, or the first sentence? Or is a graffito the total spraying of one artist, and graffiti would imply two people sprayed the wall?

I'm just wondering how you would tell if you were looking at a graffito or graffiti when examining any random sprayed wall.

I have gotten 10s on my last three shops...I'm amazed smiling smiley Normally I get the 8 and 9 with "minor grammatical/spelling errors". Not that it matters anyways, since the score means nothing.
