Keep it short, sweet and descriptive. The one I use includes a greet, an observation of cleanliness and neatness, one interaction, time in line, cashier interaction, and the parting remark. How you say it and your punct./grammar/spelling is more important than what you say. Make sure you include names.
Edited to add-If it's a dining experience, you need to be more detailed than with a retail experience.
