What do you like and dislike about doing DEMOS?

I'm originally from Chicago moved to Florida recently. Jobs are very limited in FL by the way. I found MC in snagajob.com. I took a chance and applied. The process does take a while. The application is long, they do a back groud check, phone interview, you have to notarize your documents and then fax it to the company. I've been with MC since April '07 and when my application cleared I rec'd my ID #, password and was able to log in and assign myself to localevents. You can check your profile, points, check for available events and book yourself to any available events. I also rec'd a MC card to purchase supplies needed to execute the event. The MC card is their way of having you check in and out of an event worked.

Mass Connections is a reliable company so far. You are assigned a coordinator, you book your own events, you're paid an average of $85 a day for 5 hours, you rec' kits and supplies needed to execute each event, you are paid extra for appliance used at your event, you earn points and a selected school of your choice earns points as well. So if you're interested in applying for MC please go to stayingconnected.com and use my referral code #62387 when applying so I can earn my referral points. ok

If you have any questions, please contact me here, I'm trying to build a networking support system for new MC event personnels. It is not easy getting started this is why I wanted to build this support system where we can share experience, good and bad, share ideas on displaying tables, be a bigger/better event personnel and know you're not ALONE out there. Although you do have a coordinator that is there for you and a HELP LINE sometimes you more.

Good luck doing DEMOS out there, enjoy yourself, be HAPPY, you meet and greet people all day. I love it! I'd like to do this full time w/benefits. Does anyone know how?

Hello Maria,

I just recently got a job with MC. I'm still waiting to receive my MC card and the welcome package. Could you please tell me a little more of what to expect? What kind of work volume is available? Is it only on weekends or are weekdays available too? Thanks for your help in advance

Mass Connections is a great company to work for. You choose where you want to demo and which stores you'd like to demo with. GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! Company
Marie, Thanks that is a wounderful idea. I will sign up for work on MC. I will use your referral code. I also will need help with with the procedure. May I e-mail you or call. Many thanks and may God bless you.
I have been with them for 5 months and have not seen one event posted for S Texas. I have emailed them and they say they will have positions open but when????????
Please someone let me know a little more about Mass Connection. Are they in the state of Georgia.
I was interested in signing up with them a few months ago, but they required a picture of before I could finish the sign up process. Would someone explain why they need a picture? How is what I look like relevant to the hiring process?
I suspect the picture is required for two reasons, one is to be able to confirm what the demo person looks like in case a store manager calls with questions and second is to make sure you "clean up okay". If they were looking for a cute little size 2 to sell men's fragrances geared to the 20-25 year old crowd they would certainly not want me on the job smiling smiley But I would be credible selling "Granny's Cookies".
I don't want to be discriminated because of my size... But what Flash says makes sense. And since I'd be an IC, the "employment laws" don't apply.
I started the application process in January and I think I finally finished in February. It was a long process. I kept sending things in and they would say they did not receive them. I didn't give up and finally success! I did two events in March for them. I thoroughly enjoyed doing them. I have gotten support from the scheduler when I had questions. Primarily I use e-mail. I have had a hard time finding events to schedule which are in my area. The system does not recognize my zip code so I have to use my old zip. It appears to me that there are few events in my area and those are booked quickly. Most all of the bookings I have seen in my area are on weekends. They will send all the materials you need ahead of time to your home address. I did book one assignment and the materials did not arrive in time so my scheduler rescheduled my event for a week day. The materials still had not arrived so I emailed my scheduler and she cancelled the assignment. I have not had to use any out-of-pocket expenses. You receive a MC card to purchase specific items for you assignmrnt. This is also your check in/ check out card. I was paid in a timely manner and it was accurate. The reporting is all done on-line. The site was very slow in the beginning but they have now fixed that problem and things have been much easier. You are an actual employee of the company so they do take out taxes from your paycheck, in case you are wondering. My suggestion is you check the sight at least twice a day for bookings. I have checked in the mornibg and there is nothing and I check again in the afternoon and there are openings. If you like doing demonstrations, I suggest this company. They have contests and other perks. They also pay better than the other demo companies in my area. But unless you live in an area with few employees and lots of clients don't expect to make this a full time job. I LOVE WORKING WITH THEM!
On the application it asks for size information because they need to send aprons and occasionally send shirts for advertising. Last week I saw a chic demoing and she had to wear a "secret" deodorant shirt! Now they also offer modeling to the these clients, for these certain events. When I was younger I modeled for John Casablancas's, they also used us for demo events, to look cute in front or specific events. Not the case with these types of demos, and they aren't going to decriminate because you are handicap, I work for them and lots of other people I have worked with had some sorts of disabilities! For instance one guy I work with has a deformed hand. Most of the older ladies don't have teeth, lets face it. This is the south, older people without teeth are a common.
Most events are on the weekends, being that most people do thier shopping on the weekends. You will need to check the "my events" page regularly to get jobs as they do go quickly! I worked for them last weekend, total of 8 hours for 170$, now my scheduler is calling me weekly to pick up double events for good money. And demoing is so easy if ya have the right personality. I love demoing, I make great money.
If ya have poblems getting hired, email the office directly and speak with Nicole or someone else, if they think you are serious they will push your application through, and call to make sure they recieve your jurat form, sometimes they end up on someone else's desk, but if ya put the word out with the office they will help, remember "ya get more flies with honey."
Taylor is the scheduler for the southern states and she is incredible! I highly recomend this company for people who like working with people. If yall have any questions feel free to ask me , I might know the answer. LOL
