Satisfaction Services, Inc.

I just did my first shop for Satisfaction Services, and saw on their website they are offering something called "Rated Evaluator Program", which is a bunch of bull. They are asking US to PAY THEM $9.99 a year to bascially be on their preferred list. They claim it's for their best shoppers, which means the ones that are dumb enough to pay $9.99 a year!

I've never paid to be with any company and the fact they are even offering this make me leery of them.

Opinions anyone?

They have had that for years on their site. I never bothered to ante up on general principle. I have done some shops for them over the years that were okay. Since they don't (or didn't) have a job board, I worked with them when they called. I haven't done anything for them in a couple of years though I have seen jobs advertised on Jobslinger.com etc.
I have never worked for them, though I have been registered for a while. I did not sign up to be rated. I am offered jobs from time to time, but either I wasn't interested for whatever reason, or couldn't do them due to timing, so I have no experience at all with them.

Go with your gut. If you think it's worth for you and you receive a lot of juicy shop offers a small investment of $9.99 could be recouped with just one shop.

I personally have only received sporadic offers and, like Dee, either wasn't interested, the location was too far, the shop fee was too low or whatever.

PS I don't care for the bell.
Me either As one who teaches digital fine art at the college level, I find it rooted in the 90's for web design, and just plain tacky in this day and age...

Agreed, but at least it is an upgrade from their decidedly archaic salmon color with tons o' text front page.

I thought the entire thins from the bell to the rest of the website was really tacky. I design websites part time and I could get past the bell, but not the BIG tacky text all over. It looked very disorganized.

I would never pay $9.95 a year to get jobs. They should be paying ME $9.95 a year to shop for them! At least I will get paid for the assignment I did.
I agree with Susan. I would not pay and that bell system is just too slow for me. Yes it is cute, but cute does not cut it.
You shouldn't eVER pay someone to let you work for them. Another company just sprang up not to long ago that tried that same scam jive, trying to convince shoppers how special they'd be to cough up $20-30 to be in the database. MULE FRITTERS I say to that!!!

I actually got curious about it and paid the $9.99. What they do is send you an email about how you scored on your shop. I think it's stupid really. It's not worth any money, but that's what it is. I won't do it again next year.
Yes that was a rip off, because when you shop any shop you get a score. However, I did get an email telling me my shop was very spectacular.
