Mercantille Systems

Has anyone had any good luck with these guys? I have found very little information on them.

Anyone know when they pay? Is there a formula to Sassie that I'm missing? I seem to find very little info on most sassie shops in regards to pay.

:-)

Also, thank you everyone who has helped me so far - I know I'm full of questions and curiosity!

I have them as PayPal, net 45. I have only completed a few shops for them and the last was apparently in February 2012 and recall them being detail-oriented, but super easy to work with and helpful.

I've done some bar integrity audits with them and they are detail oriented, but paid in 45 days as agreed. I had an issue where the bartender lost the itemized receipt, or something like that (I forget what exactly) but the scheduler was super nice and great to work with in that situation.

I did a casual dine shop last November with a client that they had briefly who paid by gift card. It took over 60 days to get the gift card, but apparently the restaurant was responsible for that.
I do restaurant shops for them pretty frequently. They pay by check at about 45 days. I enjoy the restaurant shops; they're detailed but not onerous. They've always been very good to me, easy to contact and understanding.
3 thumbs down on Merc. It took me 101 days to be paid, with several broken promises by both E-mail and phone. I then fired them, but on 2 separate occasions continued to receive solicitations.
I have done tons for Merch Systems and they pay me by gift card. I do a certain restaurant and let's say I spend $12 for lunch, I get $25. If I spend $17 for dinner, I get $40. You don't get money, you get gift cards.

So, I save them up and use them for special things. smiling smiley

If you want money for this foodie shop, you won't get it (but they did bonus cash for one but that's rare)

I miss their certain food shop. I heard they would have them in April but that month and has come and gone...

I don't see any mention of gift cards on their site...

I never knew that....

Why can't you use the gift cards together? Normally multiple coupons are not allowed, but gift cards are supposed to be like cash not just a discount.

Okay then. That sucks.

Mine is on a bar, and I combed through their site and my guidelines. I still don't see gift cards.

I did a lot for them in the past few years, but nothing this year. Their clients in my area are gone. The schedulers are really nice and responsive. I was paid by checks - timely, for the hotel and restaurant shops.
They are a good company. Done a couple of shops with them in the past.

That blows! I would make it a "dessert trip" and order the finest cup of coffee, with your fancy dessertsmiling smiley
Yap I've done those restaurant shops reimbursed by gift cards. At one time I have 5 $ 25 gift card now it's gone, I've used them all..

I have done 2 jobs for them and so far been paid for 1. I should be getting paid for the other one sometime in the very near future. I got paid by check and it was a little over 45 days.
The gift cards say you can only use one but I have always used multiple cards without a problem. I use the gift cards for my next mystery shop so I no longer have any out of pocket expense.

They're a good company and pay by check. Their shops are easy.
They do bar audits and report is long and repetitive (very detailed), but I work for them monthly and really like them.
They pay 25.00 + 10.00 and pay in about 2 months by check.

They pay 25.00 + 10.00 and pay in about 2 months by check, and you can dine alone at the bar.

They do the bar audit of a chain restaurant that is also a client of the biggest mystery shopping company in the US but they do the dining portion instead. Reimbursement only sometimes there is a bonus for deadline shops. I've done one of their bar shops of a famous Chinese restaurant and oh boy the report was long and repetitive.
