I'd be happy to let you know if I disabled your account, but I did not do so. I checked our site after you posted and was able to login on the first try. I wouldn't disable your account for stating an opinion.

Then please, offer an explanation as to why my account was disabled. The system said specifically "there is an account with this email in our system but it has been disabled by the administrator." There's not a lot of room for ambiguity there. It's not like got a failed login and assumed it was disabled. It specifically said my account was disabled. And once you explain that, please explain how suddenly when you tried it, it worked, and then it worked again when I tried it. As if a switch had been flipped and the "error" was no longer there.

I think you must be mistaken. The account was not, has not been, and is not diabled. I tried it after you first posted to ensure nothing was wrong with your account. Werid things happen and sometimes there is not an explanation. For example, the last time I posted on this forum, my posts were deleted after which the thread was removed. I am still waiting for an explantion for this.

Weird things do not just happen. The system will not just randomly disable an account and then reenable it. Please just admit you disabled the account and realized it was a mistake after getting called out. We all make bad decisions, but we should own up to them.

If you review my history on this forum, you will find that I've taken accountability when appropriate and on more than one occasion. In this case, I reviwed the account and it has never been closed or disabled.

mc,

Perhaps you could be looking into why posts and threads are deleted from this forum.

This is my opinion. SM has too much of a vendetta against certain shoppers. It is obvious in each and every post about SENTRY, where SM comes back with a response. I am sorry. Why, because I am scared to do another shop for SM. Although there are two sides to every story, SM wants to control the whole story-->"We didn't do anything wrong."

I applied for SM during one of their vindictive allocation states, because I knew nobody could be that outrageous. As time moved on, I waited for shops to show up in my city/state. They did. I applied for the shop. But each time, a shopper would post something about SM. That would make me withdraw the shop. It was not a discussion, it was more of a "he said, she said" debate and SM would be one of the participants.

Does SM really truly like getting into a tug-of-war with shoppers? Does this make good business practices? I want to get paid for my shops, not get into a back/forth taunt with a "bully".

I wrote the above paragraphs or two, this morning (before 1100am). But b/c my computer would not "display this page" I was unable to post, so I save the post. Now it is almost six hours later and the "he said-she said" bickering continues. I am disabling my account with SM. I like shopping for a company who treats their shoppers fair and not get into public forum arguments with them. I can see why J closes and delete a post but SM you are ridiculous. This is not how you run a business.

This is still my opinion.
I dont get it. You switched to a new database and you can
now no longer see shops outside of your area? I travel through
dozens of states a year so I don't see how that makes sense.

Unless you meant just until training is done?

Sorry to burst your bubble Dave. I know why threads and posts are deleted from this forum. I consider it a good policy in certain cases.

Now, lets clear the air on this thread and move on. What bg states and what you have explained does not seem to jive.
Let me ask you this - Is it possible that someone else in your company turned off his account? That might clear things up...

And the beat goes on.

Same song, second verse. A little bit louder and a whole lot worse.
mc -

It is possible that someone else on our team disabled the account, however, accounts that are closed in Prophet trigger a deactivation of the user account on sentrymarketing.com. When I checked this user's account on our main site, the account was open and active.

I can't imagine that censoring posts and threads would be good policy in any case. I thought that was a major issue with another shopper site that is often criticized on here.

CA -

I looked at the form you mention. The first three "pages" are report header and there are a total of 9 fields to complete. These include the date of the shop, time entered, amount spent, etc. Two other pages are blank due to page breaks. The two other pages only have a few questions on them due to page breaks.

techman,

We actually migrated from one piece of software to another. The previous version was hosted on a separate server while the new version resides on our server. The previous version, like many other LMS software packages, used Flash to display the material. The new software does not use Flash or Java. The result is that reports of technical issues have been greatly reduced.

As a part of this migration, we had access every project so we took the opportunity to review project settings, self-scheduling requirements, and assignment eligibility. It is very possible that assignments that could be viewed before this update would not be accessible after.

We made the change after reviewing feedback from our past three shopper surveys.

I guess you need to stretch your imagination a bit. When posts go downhill and continue that way, they do no one any good.
If someone made them go away, fine with me. That's a lot better than the current policy at that other board. You give me the impression that having no control of posts on this board upsets you. I will simply suggest that you hang your hat over @ V.

My account at Sentry was deactivated after I took the time to respond to a survey about Sentry's website. Dave didn't like my unprofessional tone. I was then retroactively docked a $7 shop fee for a job a did the month before and had ALREADY gotten a "Great job! Thanks for all your hard work. Payment approved" e-mail weeks earlier! Nah... Dave doesn't hold grudges. Glad he deactivated me because I would never shop for Sentry again! They're also one of the slowest paying MSCs in the industry.
Nice deflection, mc.

There is not stretching of the imagination going. My posts simply mentioned the private, members only forum that exists on this site. When other forum members began to ask questions about this, posts began to be deleted and ultimately, the entire thread disappeared.

Posts go "downhill" here because anyone who dares post something postiive about our company is attacked by the lynch mob. Some might call that bullying.

shopper64 - this was all discussed at length in your June, 2012 post. (http://www.mysteryshopforum.com/read/6/155609/155820#msg-155820)

I believe MDavisNowell said positive things about your company and no one has jumped on her about it at all. She's the only one that has said anything nice at all, on the other hand, there are 2 accusations of accounts being disabled for trivial reasons by your company in this thread.

Check other threads, bg. Those forum members who have posted positive feedback about our company have been attacked and marginalized.

I've answered what I can about your situation. shopper64 was deactivated for reasons that I would not consider trivial.

CA,

I was an active shopper for many years before starting The Sentry Marketing Group.

I do respect your point of view, although I don't agree with it. There are projects in the industry that are liked by some shoppers and abhorred by others. I believe the project in question is generally compensated in a manner which is competitive for the industry.

Again, I respect the fact that you feel differently. If you'd like to continue the discussion offline, feel free to contact me at dave@sentrymarketing.com.

Thanks

Dave
Who takes the $4 shop fee burger shops?? I do. I work near one and enjoy the "free meal."

I have always been paid on time and my report has never been rejected. The scheduler I interact with is extremely friendly.

The report, however, is quite heinous. I wish Sentry would work with the client to streamline it.
An account gets mysteriously deactivated as soon as something negative was said? Weird. May the odds be ever in your favor, bgriffin!

As with thousands of other threads, this thread was started by a Shopper. This forum is for Shoppers. A response from the MSP directed to Shoppers' posts is welcome and could be a good thing, offering insight - depending on the MSP response. When an MSP posts to a Shopper thread, veering off-topic, it could be construed as deflection. I suggest the MSP start a new thread, stating any concern, and asking questions, or PM asking for clarification to a specific issue related to the MSP. Just as Shoppers do. Let the Shopper thread stay on topic.
Dave, prior to your postings on this thread, I had no opinion of Sentry. After your adamant denials to bg, I now do. I'm really embarrassed for you!

(heart)

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

I signed up with sentry yesterday and was approved. I completed the enrollment process over 24hrs ago but still haven't gotten my log in. It said I should get it in around 8 hrs but I still haven't gotten anything. Can you help?
This thread has been like watching a train wreck in slow motion, with close-ups of the engineer sucking down the last of a fifth just before it all goes off the rails. Maybe we could send FREELANCEREPORTER onto the ice for this thread as verbal "enforcer."
