Got Desperate Shoppers in the Area

Say you're at a party... or better yet, one of the MS conventions. A social event is going on, and you're in a room and meeting a bunch of new people ~ maybe some of the other people on this forum. Then one of those people accidentally farts. Rips a big one. Perhaps some of the others can't help but turn and look around from being startled a bit. However, out of a sense of decorum and propriety, don't you just ignore it and pretend it didn't happen?

Well, that's what this guy is like... a fart in the room. We should ignore it, and pretend it didn't happen. smiling smiley

Liar, you are so very much fun. I do have one of those turkey necks. Do you know where I can get a cheap lift so I'll look young and dumb like you again? Please let me know, can't wait. Or maybe I could get one of those injections to fill out all my wrinkles and than I would have an elephant neck. Do you think that would be an improvement? I'll bet you have a skinny scrawny neck from all that exercise you get whining about everyone else. Am I right or am I right? Please choose the answer of your choice and get back to me. I am extremely bored completely totally and all the time. Got so bored today, did a little auditing, doing a few reports, sitting around the house whining and complaining about my lot in life and how stupid everyone else is because I'm too dumb to know I don't have a brain cell. Wait...Am I talking about you or am I talking about you? Get back with me with the answer of your choice. Being old and haggy and bored I cannot keep things straight. Most of the time I am so very confused so it's a joy to have you around to straighten me out. I'm sure that when you get our of junior high school you'll go on to Harvard or Princeton and become one of those brainy nerds that rules the world. Would you like that Liar - ruling the world. Today I saw a kid wearing a shirt that said something like "I am he who rules" or some crap like that and when I got home and saw your postings I thought Wow I need to get one of those shirts for Liar because it will so fit his wonderful personality and outlook on life. Don't forget I need to know what to do about the turkey neck. I'm going to take a short break now and do some work but I'll come back and check all your responses as I don't want to miss anything; I mean you are obviously destined to be a literary genius. Are you published? Tell me where I can buy your work and just exactly where I should send it to get it autographed. And don't forget about the turkey neck.

I see you use the phrase social event lightly.

Noooooo--you have to factor in drive time, gas expenses, wear and tear on the vehicle, time spent reading instructions and printing paperwork, etc.

Thank goodness we have the distance of the Internet to protect us from the odor!

Both.

I think you can pump $20 and get the $1 back. If these are the same shops I did a while back, I went over the $1 limit and still got the $1. (I had just bought a 12 oz Coke at the previous shop and I couldn't find a salty snack for under $1. I settled on some almonds that were I think like $1.19.)

I think the appropriate question for an MS convention would be:

"Okay, who did the Chipotle shop today?"

"And, I'm guessing, you had the Extra Hot sauce!" hehe
It all comes down to why you're doing this, and what your goals are. Some shoppers might just want to make money and take any shop they can get and complete within the time specified. Other shoppers might want to come out with an X dollar figure after expenses. That's okay.

I was at the mall once, and could not find something better, so I took the Abercrombie and Fitch shop. It's $8, and takes at least a half hour or so to complete. I took it because after all, it's $8 more, rather than nothing. Today, I have a few shops at the mall, and have to pick up a package at the post office there. The Abercrombie shop was available, but I didn't take it because it wasn't worth my time. I can go to the discount grocery store in the mall, do my grocery shopping in half an hour, and save more than $8. It's all about balance. As with life in general, you win some and you lose some in shopping too. Imagine how lame life would be if everything was perfect and we were at our highs all the time!!!!

Personally, if I had an electrical bill or a mortgage payment to make from MSing, I would be taking any fee based, non-reimbursement job I could get, regardless of it it pays $5 or $15. After all, it's all $$$ in the end...
Although it is frustrating to see a job paying that low and people actually completing the job for that price we really need to have our own acceptable price range for jobs based on our individual goals as stated by previous poster. With an 8 passenger SUV I cannot afford to be taking jobs at a $4.00 price. I am sure you were just as disappointed with the new signage jobs at their low pricing.
All I can say is BAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! This thread made me laugh out loud. And for the record.... I too have a turkey neck BAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
