Does anyone else dislike Trendsource?

I find the BVs easy to do and will pick them up if they're close enough. Their sandwich shops are also really good, and I've done a couple on one route before. They're fast with paying, and pretty responsive. No complaints here.

I hate asking dumb questions (I know, there are no dumb questions), but what are BVs?
There's no such thing as a stupid question.....only stupid people who ask questions. winking smiley

foodexpert, hello. BVs are business verifications, like, are they really in business.

Yes, there are shops in Florida - continuously, sine I've been shopping for the last 7 years for them.
The pizza shops are easy, never had a picture rejected.
I stopped doing BV because of the short calling window. I can't always get home in time to print the instruction to make the calls. Besides, I got tired of renewing my background check yearly.

I have had no problem shopping with Trendsource. I have not gotten a background check for them, so can no longer self-assign. I've lost out on assignments due to that. I can still request, and wait to be assigned. I enjoyed the BVs, and miss them. One of these days, if other shops dry up, I may get a background check, but there's been no need. I continue to get calls for other shops, offering PAD, and accept when they fit.

The grocer that TS shops is not in my area. Pizza joints and Medicare shops are here. I have no difficulty with them. I like their support system, as well.
That stupid pricing last wk prob cost me my permanent job w/a store. . i just need $ so bad for vacation..

I did ARby's in Summer and that was easy and fun.
There's nothing wrong with Trendsource. It's just too much work for too little pay. I live in a high COL area. I can't live here on that wage. It's a grind. I guess I could, but I'd be renting or living somewhere with a cheap old car, etc. Not my gig. I keep my schedule open for better things. I used to do their grocery stores (major chain, not the healthy chain).
Ditto what SoCalMama said. Trendsource pays quickly, on time, and the reports are easy. But, generally speaking, their assignments take too long for the little pay. I haven't worked with them since 2011.
Here in Flint mi ,I just signed up ,did a <Medical Insurance> shop and paid in one week

Moderator's note: Hey, Ace! Looks like you're new here, and welcome; but you really need to knock off with the naming of clients and MSC's together. At least half of your posts are doing just that. In this case, the MSC is named in the original subject line ~ so this precludes anyone naming any client in any post. Thanks for your future carefulness. smiling smiley
Ace, you will need to edit out the client name in your post. It violates our ICA

They usually verify the shop in a couple of days and always pay on the 5th & 20th of the month. On rare occasions they have been short staffed & didn't get to a shop for nearly a week. But for a short while I was getting paid within 2 days of the shop verification, well ahead of their twice monthly schedule, so I have no complaints

Cheers !

I've done grocery shops and medicare shops for them and they've always been fair and paid on time...wish I could get more shops from them.
Sit through a presentation of the sales pitch. Take a LOT of notes. Some are some presentations in a restaurant type setting and some are in the store on a 1:1 basis.
Easy, just take a lot of notes.

I've totally deactivated myself from those people. More than once I did a shop and go home to report it only to find that it has been removed from my projects list before I get home. Dialogue with them yielded enough manure to fertilize 40 acres and I say to hell with them.

I did the pizza shops but wasn't getting paid - then i found out I had to do this quiz on theirwebsite to get paid. funny that they would require the quiz to get paid, but not to do the shop. I don't want to bother with a lot of their other shops (the office store ones) because they seem to pay very little. Sorry $7-$8 isn't worth stopping the car and getting out.
I think the only way the office store shops are worthwhile is if you are going to go to that store anyway. Then the $7-8 plus $1 reimb. can be counted towards your purchase. I think of it as a nice discount on what I planned on buying there anyway.
