Hardware shops with Cori...I mean Steri

Just opened the email regarding the Hardware shops.

I will NOT do those shops for less than 15.00 each...and that is low for me.
There is at least 45 min worth of talking to do (20 min in each section). (This does not include the travel time or the report time)
And they want to offer me....a whooping 6.50 to do one!!??!!

BUT if I do at least 6 of them I can get 7.50!!!

Sorry Cori...uh I mean Steri.....this is not a good way to off with your new name

I'm still learning 24/7.
Gettin' fired up makes many of us forgetwinking smiley They can call themselves whatever they wish, to most of us they will always be CORI, lol!

As of today there are at least 60 shops that need to be done for this one company.
Some of the locations still have all 3 scenarios to be done!!
Anyone want start making bets as to when they finally raise the commission on these to what we feel is fair???

Oh and there are shops to be done in December too.
I'm jealous. I didn't get the email. :/ I feel like they've deprived me of a perfectly good opportunity to b****.

It is nearing the end of the year and through their own mistakes the commissions got crazy high leaving them now trying to make it up. They let that horse out of the stable by increasing commissions on assignments locked out by rotation.

I am never one to turn them down at $25 or $30 or $40, but realistically we can all admit they are quite reasonable $18 to $20 shops with only about 20 minutes or so required on site and a super easy report. That is exactly what I told the scheduler who offered me a route at $12................in Indiana. Eventually things will balance out and meanwhile there isn't really anything I need from that storewinking smiley

It's such a strange sight to see the Stericyle truck pull into my work. I don't think anyone else in my office know about their other secret business like me!
I didn't get the email either, and I've done like 12 of those shops, all with no issues. Okay, one issue, but that was because the client didn't like what I had to say about their associate.

Well, I've done more than 12 of their shops - without incident. Haven't received any route offers.
But really - their scenarios make no sense as the weather changes. What I mean is - they are not bonusing shops - instead they pushed out their due dates to January, leaving them at the $4 mark.
Really? Really? A firepit scenario? Who in their right mind will be shopping for an outdoor firepit in December and January in the winter in N Illinois and Wisconsin? The last thing I'm thinking about with 2 ft of snow in the patio, below zero temps and the hubby back from a drunken snowmobile excursion is sitting outside around a firepit. You can make up any excuse you want as to why you want it - but they know.
Only a Mystery Shopper.

PS Just kidding about the drunken snowmobiling - drunken ice fishing.
I got that email - add $1 to each shop if I take 6 or more, and each shop is at least an hour of my time or more. The commission went up to $4.44 this morning. Yeah, I'm jumping right on that.
Hi Tatjana,

A firepit scenario makes perfect sense for those of us in paradise aka Florida. With the temps in the 80s, it might actually be too early to make it entirely convincing.

FYI, we do not have the smartest shoppers in Florida because someone just scooped up one of their $6.50 shops. Really? (Ha! Maybe it was a snowbird from N Illinois or Wisconsin!)

(heart)

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Lol just got an email saying they've been increased to $7.35. I seriously hope shoppers don't start taking these jobs at such low pay. I feel like they've had this client for a while and that a market value has been pretty much established. Not sure why they think all of a sudden people are going to take them for $7.35???
Interesting........I was wondering if my standards were too high. Went through the training module, only to see such shop fees, I walked away.
Anyone know if they made their "new" website compatible with Chrome? They are the only one that I have to go back to IE to report on shops.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

IDK, I have fires all the time in the winter. It is one of our favorite things to do. A fire-pit scenario is fine for me, many people around here have fires in the winter. On New Year's Day, you will see us outside, in the snow and freezing temps with a warm, cozy fire, burning some hot dogs and marshmallows. smiling smiley
Funny because just last week I was complaining my chiminea didn't put out much heat and a good firepit would allow me to extend my patio time. It has really sucked having to move my office back indoorssad smiley While summer time is more for shorter BBQs it is fall and winter when I tend to cook things that require an all day smoke. Having the smoker going on one side and a roaring fire on the other would be awfully toasty.

Wasn't there a part of the fire pit scenario that said something about it being used in a screened in area? I thought that meant they wanted to associates to zero in on the gas fire pits. Maybe I misread it.

I can completely relate to those rates. $4 starting off and barely inching upwards is not worth the hassle. The $1 reimbursement is a joke since the only thing you could get for less than $1 is maybe a single nail or two? I do wait until the rates get higher because it just isn't worth the gas money to drive out there and then come home and do the reports.
So I did one last night and reported it. This morning I get an email that my receipt photo was blurry to reupload it, with a link. I click on the link, it takes me to the home page. I can't get back into the shop, and the email is from noreply. Live chat isn't there but I sent a message. Dunno what to do about it.

Check the very bottom of your home page. There should be a place to view recently uploaded receipts and upload a new pic.

@bgriffin, this happens to me ALL the time. You should be able to email the photo to the scheduler. There should also be a link on the homepage to upload a receipt.

A few things I purchase (and one thing I do not to look like a freak purchasing food at a hardware store): I always stop by the paint department and pick up a few sample swatches. I then either buy M&M's ($1.05) or Nature Valley Granola Bar (.89). The cashier sees my paint swatches and comments (I count that towards the cashier comment section).

The firepit scenario works well where I live. The wooden closet system has been the difficult one for me. The systems are very straight forward. There has been a lot of silence between me and the sales associate. They sort of sell themselves. The only thing really offered has been loading assistance since one of them weighs 153lbs.
How....odd. I went into my history to get the job id, then went to upload receipts. Put in the job id and it said there was already an approved receipt for this job. Back over to my job history and sure enough, says it's good. And I got 5! Woohoo! lol
