Intellishop

Anyone else work for them? I've done a bunch of their shops now and have pretty much decided it's just not worth it. They expect you to write a novel about a simple little cell phone inquiry that pays $11.

The only shop I've done with them that was worth the work involved was one where they reimbursed me $30 for an oil change - and I did that because I was due for one, anyway. As to the others - pfui.

I do only certain shops for them. Some are worth it, others not.

I do their shops from time to time and then get annoyed with myself for having done them because they take so darn long to pay. Currently Intellishop and aTH shops are the only stuff I'm waiting for payment on so that I can put away May work.
Yes, I hate the 60 days thing. Hate hate hate it. Especially if it is a restaurant. They have one steak place I LOVE and will do anyway, as the report is not very painful as FD goes, and the cost of dinner for two is easily $200. So 60 days for a reimbursement I can deal with better than being out $200 period. :-)

I know that steak place well. I applied for that shop last time it came up, but I had just started with them and didn't get it.
Yes, I do shops for them. There is a HUGE but here- I did a few for them when I started shopping for them, decided it wasn't worth it, and now only do some shops that they actually ask me to do, and I ask for a bonus in return, which I get. The extra $5-$10 makes it worth it. I have it down to a science since it's the same places they have me shop. I have my narrative saved, and I alter the names, descriptions, and events based on the shop.
They don't do much around here anymore since they stopped the card store.

Her Serene Majesty, Cettie - Goat Queen of Zoltar, Sublime Empress of Her Caprine Domain
I love them. They have tons of shops that pay good money out here and I never shop less then $15 shops.

They have video apartment shops that pay $35 each.

I got asked to take it and they offered me two of them. One in my city and one in a city 40 miles away. They offered me $35 + $15 for one and $35 + $15 for the other. I told them I can do the one in my city but the price is not gonna work for the other city. So they came back and said okay $35+15 for the one in my city and $35+$15+$50 for the second one.. I said good but almost there.. I need to take bart (since I do not want to waste milage) and that will cost $8.

So final offer I accepted was:

$35+15 for the one in my city
$35+$15+$60 for the one 40 miles away.

Total $160 for 3 shops. smiling smiley

And there video so report is like nothing at all!

Ugh, you are still waiting for aTH to pay you from May? I just did shops for them in the beginning of August and I thought I would be getting paid for them the end of this month.
May got paid in July and so I did another shop in early August, for which I have not yet been paid but they are still in their 60 day window. They are far from a favorite because although I can see $60 dealership shops in other area, in my area mostly what they have is peanuts shops where the required (and reimbursed) item is greater than the shop fee, plus it doesn't cover the purchase requirement. I.e. $5 fee $7 reimbursed, required purchase $7.31 including tax. Certainly a simple shop but hardly worth the record keeping to track a long payment window.
Early June, I did an oil change shop for them. Payment via Paypal Aug. 20. Longer than 60 days for payment. Did another shop early July, still unpaid and 60+ days and counting. It's a long wait for payment, but I've always gotten paid.
I have done four auto dealershipl shops for them. The pay was twice what other MSC are offering and even though there was a bit of narrative, I didn't think it was unreasonable for the time spent at the dealership or the pay I hope to get at some point this decade (I think I will get paid the end of next month).
I do 1-4 shops a month for them. They used to pay at the
60th day exactly. Earlier this year they implemented
a fine system and changed the pay to the 20 th of the
month AFTER 60 days.

Sept. 20 has come and gone and my early July shop is unpaid - more than 60 days. It's a small fee, I won't chase it yet. Just sounding the horn.
I would chase it...I got paid for my shops.

I have always been paid by them. They pay on the 20th of the month. If you do shops in May you should get paid about July 20th. If the 20th falls on a week end, then they are processed on Monday. Or at least that has been my experience. Sometimes it does not show up in my pay-pal account until Tues. But that is paypal not Intellishop
Which means that those who worked before May 20 are left holding the bag for more than 60 days.
My history has shown them to be the slowest paying MSP. Having said that, has anyone been tempted to do their sports venue shops?

"These types of shops are highly sought after by shoppers and in most cases the tickets hold a significant value. Therefore to be eligible for this mystery shop all shoppers must send a deposit to IntelliShop via Pay Pal within 24 hours of shop assignment; due to this special requirement shoppers will receive reimbursement & deposit one month sooner than our standard payment cycle!"

It will require a few hundred dollars outlay.
I've seen them but not been tempted in the vaguest. My August shop sheet is still open due to aTH and Intellishop. Who needs that kind of grief? Luckily I am out-of-pocket nothing for any of the jobs so at least I am not trying to cover credit card charges for THEIR expenses.
I do about $60 a month with intellishop. The first couple of month are a drag, but if you stick with them regularly, you get paid every month.

I do their shops because they are close, easy, and generally places I would shop at anyway.
I shop for them, but am very choosy in what I do. I will do fine dining, and for one company the report is painful even when everything when according to plan. The company just wants so much repetition that the report becomes a nightmare.

Another one, a very high end restaurant on the other hand, is reasonable in requirements for the reimbursement given.

I thought they were slow to pay before they changed their terms. Now, their terms make molasses drips look rapid.

That said, they do have some shops that I like, FD and regular retail. A couple I have done are two easy for words, but that is not the norm. They do pay fairly, in my opinion, for the shops they have in my market, FD #1 mentioned here notwithstanding.

That's one thing I really hated with them, the detail they wanted repeated and repeated. There are only so many ways you can comment on "Yes the cashier gave me a receipt."

I actually found their pay to be a little low compared to the report they were asking for, but if could just be the assignments they have in my area. I found it funny though because I always see people complain about the low CoRI fees, but, for my area at least, CoRI jobs pay much better than Intellishop.
A big difference is that Intellishop gives you a summary of the job and the fee/reimbursement. CoRI on many jobs requires you first take their test to discover what the fee/reimbursement are. So I can easily bypass a low paying Intellishop job but need to waste time certifying with CoRI before I can bypass their low paying work.

This is true, I do agree with you there. I wish there was a way to get job info before having to pass the test. I just find CoRI's jobs to be higher paying in comparison to what is expected of you from Intellishop.

That may well be, I have never really considered a head-to-head comparison of shops from the two companies. If a shop is a cheap shop for the requirements I just don't accept it in the first place. And of course all of our definitions of a "cheap shop" are different and are based on our world view and need.
I usually, when considering how well a job pays, think of how much time will go into the completed shop and report. If a CoRI shop pays me $6 with a report taking 15 minutes to complete and Intellishop pays $10 with a report that takes over an hour to complete, I would consider the CoRI shop to be better paying.
You also have to consider how much time it takes to do the shop itself.

I did an NFL game for them and everthing went smoothly with the deposit being refunded within the week. Tickets were there as promised as well.

This is true. There are a few things I consider when deciding whether or not to take a job. I mentioned just the reports here though because reports were mentioned before.
I've done two jobs with them: I took them both before I had read how long they take to pay. I still would have done them, but, I was honestly disappointed to see how long they take to pay. But they do pay much better than many other companies I've seen, so I won't complain too much and I didn't have to pay for anything, so $44 for two shops that were easy really isn't that bad.
