Franchise Compliance

I shopped for this company in 2007. Carpet cleaning, better than fast-food burgers, some retail and a few others I don't recall. They were dependable, problem-free. After the burger shops went elsewhere, I seldom heard from them. I was mistakenly advised they had been absorbed by MF. Recently, I've begun receiving their emails for available shops. I'm in the Carolinas and am curious if their resurgence is just here, and if they're the same MSP - principals, policies, etc.

They have had carpet cleaning all along in my market but not with businesses close enough that I would be considered really 'in their area'. I have done a heating/air conditioning shop for them that was challenging, fun and well paid. I have a shopper friend who did a similar plumbing shop for them and found herself a great plumber. I think it is the same folks that have had the company throughout and I would be pleased to shop for them again if there was something feasible.
After several tries, I got an offer to do a carpet cleaning for them a year ago, but the MSC had to cancel it when the client decided they needed upholstery done as well, and I didn't have any furniture that fit that. That was a bummer. After that time they never had Honolulu again, just Hilo (on the big island.) I think I have only seen one other shop they had here. They must have something good happening though, as they are one of the companies on a list of 28 companies that was referenced in a message that was sent today regarding a new feature on Jobslinger Plus.

I applied for two different carpet cleaning shops with them. The due date is in a week, and so far neither has been assigned to anyone, so who knows what's going on.
They may be on hold from the client (I have a job that was due 6/30 like that.) It could be they are assigned and they are holding others in the queue "just in case..." or? The possibilities are myriad.

I just got assigned a carpet cleaning. I applied about 2 weeks ago with a due date of 7/19 and didn't hear anything and they kept sending e-mails looking for a shopper so I figured I was not the profile they were looking for. Today I got an e-mail assigning the shop and the due date is changed to 7/30. They advised they will mail me a packet. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. This is the first time I have shopped for them.
Since my shop never ended up taking place due to the upholstery issue, I cannot speak from having completed any work for them. However, the person I dealt with when assigned the shop, getting it scheduled, and then having it canceled was wonderful to interface with, and if they had something here I was interested in, I would try to get assigned to it and see how they were to work with throughout the entire process.

I have had my carpets cleaned twice from their shops. Never a problem, got paid both times. The scheduler I worked with was great. Loved it.
