Just to make it clear (in the event one of their representatives is lurking), when there were gas stations listed, one could make a route of gas stations in between the 2 BBB type shops as well as the ice cream and recliner shops. Really, who wants to drive to a BBB shop, purchase, then return it 30 minutes later? What to do in between? Visit a recliner shop? Maybe. Not much of an incentive without fill in type of shops in between and along the way there and back again.

That is what I did in the old days.

ha, tatjana I just did that last week. A BBB return shop with a recliner shop in between.

Weird...I did too! $53 total shop payment (plus the $8 reimbursement). Not too shabby. I was also able to pick up a Mobee coffee during that time too!

yep you did better than me...i got $39...but i consider it $47 with the $8 reimbursement because I bought coffee that I needed anyways.

. I see plenty of the long distance gas stations along the way to them. Too bad they're on assigned routes.

When I look at the Steri shops, there are an overwhelming amount of BBB, health and fitness and recliner shops sitting untaken for Feb. January was the same.

Point is, if Steri had some gas stations or at least bonused these things, they would be getting done.

I really didn't realize that I evidently had so much competition for the GS shops in my area. I used to pick up certain locations month after month and they got pretty decent fees. Now all of a sudden these routes start up and every single location within 100 miles is taken for $10??? Miss them and loved them as route fillers.

I was informed by a scheduler that CORI will not be putting bonuses on shops like they have in the past.

Oh darn, the 4 shops that are open within 200 miles of me aren't going up in price?? :/

Only 4 shops here. Hopefully, the treat shops will be back. I made quite a few bucks doing them around here. No one wants to drive in these parts. I'm used to it.

I don't miss the $4.00 gas station shops with the generous $1.00 fuel reimbursement. I also don't miss the 3 day window bidding game which didn't always make sense anyway. I do miss the chicken restaurant shops though, because it was a great opportunity to get a reimbursed lunch or dinner and get paid too.

This will be the first week in four years that I haven't done a single Cori shop. It makes me kind of sad.

Yea, I miss them too. They still have a few shop shop in my area. It appears that someone took all the gas shops, but the fee was listed at the opening price of $4. I don't understand why someone would do all that work for $4 and $5 in reimbursement.

I know the one gas station and the hardware stores got picked up by Martz, did the ice cream and chicken places get picked up by any one else, or are those companies out of the mystery shopping arena?

I am not positive about the ice cream going away. In my area, they go away for winter and pick back up for spring/summer/fall. I don't know where the chicken went, if at all.

One thing that I loved about Cori was that I always got a 5!

I asked about the Hardware shops and I was told they still had them and would be back next month.

I guess we will see what happens next month.

This excites the hell out of me. I did 12 of them for Maritz the first three days of Feb, and they are still sitting on my board unedited, which means the client won't get their reports on time, and I won't get paid on time. I remember when I used to do these for Cori, if I ever filed a negative report about an individual, they were on the phone with me within two days saying the client wants more info so that they can deal with the issue/take corrective action immediately. Kinda hard to do that when they don't get their reports until a month after they are filed by the shopper. It's kinda like putting a student in detention for skipping a class last semester. I hope these go back to Cori.

The ice cream shops are back on the board here.

More shops, self-assign, easy reporting, wonderful commissions. My wife and I had our largest MSC incomes with them the past 2 years. Now, it's all but dried up.

I spoke with a scheduler from Steri today and was told the same thing, no more increases, it looks to me like they are phasing out of the MSC business. Taking into account that they have lost the blue gas shops and the blue DIY shops and the Marathon shops since becoming Steri.

Well if no one accepts the shops at the measly fees, they'll be stuck with shops up their respective wazoos. I know I won't be doing their shops. Let those who want them for the starting fees have them and move on. WAY too much work for small fees. I so miss their nice increases.

I agree. I'll wait and see. I've made a lot of money doing these last year. Some were at $40+ (12 mile drive)...yep. I'm not taking them at that low ridiculous fee.

Yep, ice cream is back for me here in SoCal. But....I have to requalify! Ugh! Oh well, it always hits the spot when you are craving an ice cream (or two).

The scheduler I talk to a lot said that they still have but he wasn't sure when they would be coming back. I usually do gas stations since they have an age restriction so I hope that will play in favor for me and the price will just keep going up. I will just have to wait it out until it's actually worth the work.

Rucker, since we already mentioned the MSC, please delete the store name, since it is a violation of the ICA.

I checked this morning and the fee's $3.00 and all due by May/15! So..to me that means, the fee will stay low until it gets close to the deadline, right?

I see that some people in this area have been taking the $3 shops. They must REALLY like ice cream.
