I took a look at their site and it would appear their surveys/focus groups are for medical practitioners and the associated billing/maintenance/technicians of clinical locations.
They have a signip for medical folks and a seperate signup for consumers. They also do nonmedical. Someone on Volition posted that they were conducting a snack food survey.
THis is from an email I got today.

~ Females who are going into their senior year of high school to participate in a 2-hour focus group about Senior Portraits on Wednesday, August 26th. IF YOU KNOW ANY GIRLS GOING INTO THEIR SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL PLEASE FORWARD ALONG THIS EMAIL.

~ Females Age 25-65 who have purchased and eaten any of the following food products in the past 12 months, but NOT in the past 3 months: Frozen Waffles, English Muffins, Toaster Pastries or Pre-packaged Bagels; to participate in a 2-hour Baked Goods focus group on Wednesday, August 26th or Thursday, August 27th.

I'm heading out on vacation tomorrow, so I can't participate, but maybe someone else on this board can.
Schlesinger and Associates are awesome! I fill out the questionaire every time I get one emailed to me. So far I have been to Atlanta location twice. They tend to overbook the groups in case people do not show up. This means that not everyone that is invited actually participates. Both times I did not have to actually participate BUT you STILL GET PAID!! I received $85 the first time and $65 the second time. They are definitely legit.
I just signed up with them after reading this thread. I work in a doctors office doing medical billing, so maybe they will call me sometime.
I had to chuckle because in the dropdown list of current medical 'ailments' to select from was "Spellchecker!!". I swear, it had the two exclamation points.

I think lots of people suffer from that, me included. But they spelled it incorrectly. I think its "spill chucker." :-)

I bet they used their spell-checker and it changed the spill chucker. LOL

I have done an occasional focus group in my area. If the topic is easy and and the pay is good, why not? Last year I made $120 cash for 2 hours. I had to take photos of my medicine cabinet and then talk about being organized. I've yet to see the product on the market that I was part of the group for though.
They are a very reputable research company. I have only done focus groups with them and they do follow a rotation in participants.
