A CLOSER LOOK: Italian restaurant shops only assigned to tenured shoppers??

I thought Arch was a new shopper. I don't read the forum enough to know who the shoppers are. Where I am ACL has high and medium restaurant shops. From $60 to $120 for lunch and more.

My second mystery shop ever was for ACL. (My first was 5 Guys.) It was an $85 dinner reimbursement. On the application where they asked for mystery shopping experience, I had written that I was new to mystery shopping. I was so nervous, but they were really nice and helpful. That was in February. I've now done 5 shops for them and have a $150 reiimbursement dinner coming up next weekend. They may have been desperate to fill that first shop because the reimbursement was about $30 too low, but it is possible to get a highesh-end dining shop for your first shop.

I don't like the tip limit, and I think 15-18% does make you stand out at higher end restaurants. I always tip 20%, but maybe that's because I've been a waitress.

I have years' experience with ACL, some casual, some fine, some that are not on the board.

I had a reimbursement only shop. Reimbursement was enough for one, and bringing a guest was optional. I took a guest, realizing that the reimbursement would be a 50% discount on my total tab. I reported on my meal, not my guest's. Editorial asked for details on my guest's meal. I replied that mention of my guest's meal was not included in the guidelines nor was it part of my contract. This did not sit well with editorial, or me.
I agree with Mert, not all the shops are on the board. I have received shops emailed from the schedulers. Tonight they released a new round of Italian restaurant to-go shops.

Mert, did they accept the report, and would you do it that way again?

Hmmm, I got an email about this Italian restaurant and I have done nothing but an oil change shop for them.

Yes and yessmiling smiley But, it's been some time since this happened, and the restaurant is no longer shopped.
I did the Italian restaurant shop and it was quite a bit of reporting. The food was mediocre at best. ACL came back after I submitted the report and asked additional questions, so IMO it was not worth it.
I also did not want just reimbursement shops from ACL but love the company. They sent me a shop for a assisted living place, and it was decent money, with no outlay of money. So they do have other things. Plus, they sent me a gift card to do my next breakfast shop at a fairly high end restaurant, i can make that work. Sometimes it's good to have a good meal out.
I know it's been said, but ACL is a top notch MSC. Read the guidelines and go to the restaurant website to see if you can stay on budget. They definitely have different tiers of shoppers. I often see a greater variety of shops than a friend does. There are tricks to stay on or under budget.

Her posts are on the Job Board page, not in this thread smiling smiley
I did a dining shop for them in Tennessee. One of the companies I branched out to. The credit card receipt was not itemized and I thought of returning that night and asking for one, but when I filled out their report, they had that part set up for credit card receipts.

Further, I received emails about my bar tab. I had rolled it into the dining bill. I tried to explain, but they insisted in adding another $2.73 to my reimbursement, and who was I to argue. I did get another email towards the time of reimbursement and I explained the beer was included in the total tab, so I didn't get the extra.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.
