Can anyone explain Intellishop?

Again I repeat this...I am not comfortable working for them and I won't. Seems too many have problems with this company and again, seems many do not. I don't feel at ease with all this.

I have never had any significant issues with them. Are they possibly a little more cumbersome than other complanies? Yes, at times. But the end result of my experience is that I have always been paid, on time and in full.
No issue of mine has been enough to write them off. I choose assignments where the pay is commensurate with the work and have always been paid correctly and on time. Editors can be ruthless, but I have plenty of 10's. it was also easy to reach the video editor when a shop was invalidated because the editor stopped watching too soon and missed the explanation for why I didn't browse a car lot for the required amount of time. I was careful to get it on camera when talking to the sales associate so the decision was reversed and I was thanked for bringing the unusual situation to their attention because they had four more shoppers going in over the following month. It also appears they have made the rather unusual decision to shorten their payment terms at a time when many MSCs have lengthened theirs.

I have also always found their editors to be reasonable with issues. Yes, they can be a little nuts, but they are also responsive to issues, as you address.

I am actually stalking their boards as we speak...there is a shop with them at a restaurant in my area that just opened with a $200 reimbursement...and I want it! Didn't take it last month, because I wasn't paying attention and missed it....
They just posted a shop for $6 with an added picture..... No bonus and more info and a pic.... the "Tuesday only" shop.
Been with them for years. Not my favorite company but the bonused auto shops were easy. Always took in 9 or 10's. Very rare an 8. Just took a shop that I audio recorded so not to miss anything as it was complex as I have done them before with other companies and did not want to forget anything. Wrote up the lengthy report (which the time it took to listen to the hour visit and then write it up ended up costing me money in the long run)(live and learn)and it was sent back to me for more information. I already gave them everything I had! Okay. So I reworded a few things and send it back. It gets bumped back again asking for stuff that didn't even happen! I responded with why are they asking for stuff that did not even happen and the editors email bounced back as undelivered so I re-sent it to the scheduler. Within minutes I get my review from the editor and I got a 6 because they had to contact me twice??? Why? I gave them everything the first time I entered the report! Makes no sense and won't work for people that I feel are being unreasonable. I feel like I got kicked in the teeth on a job I did right the first time.
Hairballs:

They are really tough on grading. They almost always send back the car shop reports. If they send it back twice you will get a 6. They deduct 2 points for each send back. They also deduct a point for any grammatical or spelling errors and 2 points if it is filled with bad grammar and spelling. An 8 for a car shop is typical or if your lucky a 9. A 10 is almost impossible.

The $6 Tuesday only shops used to pay $9 a few years back. I won't do for $6 unless I am driving right by on a Tuesday after 3 PM. 5 minutes in store plus 25 minute report equals $12 an hour rate. Drive time has to be 0.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Interesting. After all the talk about Intellishop grading I decided to look up my scores. I've only done two car shops, but several other gas, comic, etc. If someone had asked I would have told them I had tens, but turns out my the car shops were only 9s. The other shops were all 10s except one 9.

I wonder if they are more stringent with editing the car shops?
For them I would never ever worry about grades. No real purpose to them at ALL on this company.

I've gotten nothing but 10's from them on the car shops. It's striking to me the extreme differences of experiences people are having with them.
I am signed up with that company but have never done any shops. The pay is low and I really do not want to hear back from the editors for the $17. As far as the grading there are different schools of thought. If I get a 7 and get the same pay as the person who got the 10 then who cares? Now if there were incentives to get that perfect "10" that may be another story but as far as I can tell it is just to give the shopper an attaboy. Show me the $$$$ if you like my work.
I love their $75 video car shops.

I only shop for Intelli with a bonus. Some of their editors are brutal. I usually get a 10, rare occasion a 7, with the brutal editor. $17 dollar shops I will do for $40 or $60 only. They do contact me when needed. I dread waiting for the report. I never know what their needs are. Lots of times their Guidelines don't match their report. I make it very clear about the shop and contact them before I do the shop. If I get a return, I can back up the problem with the email.
I have done 12 shops for them have a rating of 8 and that because they gave me a 1 on one shop. Six 10's, one 7, one 9 and three 8's. Eh, it don't matter except for self assign. Had three finance shops 3 days in a row. 1st was a seven second was an 8 and the 3rd was a ten. So if nothing else I have learned how to do those shops a little better each time.
