Cirrus Marketing Payment is Late Two Months in a Row

If I were late in submitting a shop report it would not be acceptable.

For the shops I completed in Dec 2013, I should have been paid end of March. I was paid on April 1 after I sent many emails and left several phone messages. It is now May 5, my payment for the January shops is more than 5 days late.

Unacceptable.

Not acceptable. They don't value my payments, I will not do business with them any more.
Understand your frustration. Probably a good idea not to work with them anymore. When MSC start becoming consistently late with payments that's a real red flag to me.
It's plain and simple. Working in a timely fashion works two ways. If my report is late, it wouldn't be acceptable to them. As an independent contractor I choose companies that pay well but also pay on time. You cannot demand that I fulfill my end of the contract on time and then be late on your end.
I actually got paid early, at least for January 2014 shops. Here's what happened on my end: I sent in the invoices via their form and email for May 2013, November 2013, and January 2014 shops in June 2013 (for May 2013 shop) and February 2014 (for the November 2013 and January 2014 shops). Hadn't gotten paid for either shop as of 5/4/2014. Emailed the Cirrus contacts to inquire about the status. No response. Emailed the scheduler. Standard, "It's not me, contact them," response. Then I created invoices directly from PayPal (their only method of payment) on 5/5/2014 using the contact email from the PayPal payment. A few hours later, the person in charge of their PayPal account (?) cancelled two invoices from PayPal I created (4 altogether), citing that the company did not use PayPal invoice, but said I would be paid by the end of the day. I was then paid for two January 2014 shops within a few minutes. I'm thinking that I was paid only for the two because they were at the top of the account (I used the original dates). I just edited the invoices for the two older shops so that they will show at the top. Let's see if I get paid tomorrow....
hmmm....i just signed up for 2 shops with a large bonus on each..... should I cancel?

edited to add.... I will be traveling a good 200 plus miles to complete the shops

I did two apartment shops for Cirrus and I emailed Bristin, and got paid for one shop after 4 months. The other shop I couldn't get anywhere with until I emailed Danielle (the manager for the client) to say I had tried in vain to get payment. The next day I was paid. If you need either of their email addresses, send me a PM.

That was the end for me. Waiting 4 months is an unreasonable request to begin with, and then to have to fight for payment as well just isn't worth it.

thanks, after reading all these posts I figured I would stop while I was ahead and cancel the shops.
After three months of not be paid by them, I contacted the MSPA in regard to the issue. Their first disclaimer was that they don't get involved. They then asked for specific details and two days later, I was paid in full. But I would never work for Cirrus again.
There are an awful lot of threads on this forum about how bad Cirrus is at payment, as in months and months late with lot and lots of follow up required.

I did one bonused shop for them before I knew about this forum. Never again.......took almost 7 months to get paid.

I think they count on those folks who are not organized or techno savvy enough to follow up to ensure they get paid. It would be interesting to find out how many have just given up, or forgot to follow up to begin with. I guess that would be OK with Cirrus, as they would be that much money ahead.
I got the same impression, they make shoppers send them invoices in hopes that shoppers forget about it? None of the other Sassie companies does it. Then they don't pay for months in hopes that shoppers don't track their payments. Then they don't reply emails in hopes that shoppers give up. They do pay but only to persistent shoppers.

I deactivated them on my spread sheet. It takes me reissuing invoices and repeated phone calls to get paid when they already wait 90+ days? I should not have to chase a pay day for work that they have accepted and probably already been paid for. i bet their office staff gets paid on time!

Whenever I break down and take another job because it is highly bonused, I remember why I stopped before. Until I hear they are under new management with a new pay policy, they will stay deactivated on my spread sheet!
I did a shop for them on December 27th and have been calling and emailing requesting payment to no avail. My next stop is the Better Business Bureau and possibly sending a note to their customer base. Their motto is a joke - The Power of Perception.....Really???? I perceive them to be total crooks based on their treatment of their contractors!
Does anyone have a Cirrus invoice template that you can send to me? Please PM me about this. I have asked the company for an invoice to submit my expenses from this month but, I have not received it yet.

Checking to see if you got your invoice yet?
Thanks bkr. I received the invoice yesterday, filled it out and submitted my May expenses. I also saved a copy of the template in my excel file.
