Has anyone received an invitiation to take a survey from Mystery Researchers.com?

I see they have a website and just wondered if anyone received this email or heard of this company?

Mystery Researchers is the new name for Research Services Group. If I received an email for a survey it would have been deleted unless they were offering a payment.

I just did this survey and at the end of it, I got a message that said:

"Congratulations from Mystery Researchers! You've won the $50.00 Amazon giftcard!"

There is no gift card number on the message. On the email, it said that you'd be, "provided with a coupon code that you can use immediately."

I tried to return the email inviation to the studies@mysteryresearchers.com address to ask about it and it bounced.

It would appear that this is just a scam to get you to fill out a survey.

Hey Sunny! (Hope it is for you today.)

Yes I did. (And yes, I gullibly did what came next--the Olive Garden survey. If this somehow links an MSC to a client, I have no way of knowing that.) At the completion of the survey, it told me I had won a gift card, but gave me no code, nor way to claim or redeem it. I printed the page that notified me of my selection, and replied back to the linked email address which was studies at mysteryresearchers dot com to show them the notification and ask for resolution.

I immediately received the following reply from Google :

"We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (studies) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group. A few more details on why you weren't able to post:

* You might have spelled or formatted the group name incorrectly.
* The owner of the group may have removed this group.
* You may need to join the group before receiving permission to post.
* This group may not be open to posting."

This rejected email address was the address given on the survey for questions, so among many other possibilities, I ponder either 1) they are legitimate and their tech is pretty messed up; 2) they have had their site hijacked and can't currently help what's going on; 3) It's yet another scam with yet another patsy... (sigh)

Enjoy your day!

I posted this in the other tread, but I wanted to also put it under an appropriate subject line so people could be warned.

I just completeed the Mystery Researchers Survey about the Italian Restaurant. I got to the end and received this message:

"Congratulations from Mystery Researchers! You've won the $50.00 Amazon giftcard!"

There is no gift card number on the message. On the email, it said that you'd be, "provided with a coupon code that you can use immediately."

i went and took the survey just now and was told I won.

I took a screen shot. They should have to honor it. I'm
contacting the company directly.

Original message was sent from the company's email. They do have studies department, which I just contacted through the website after my email was bounced back. Don't think it's a scam or hijacked website because no name or personal informaiton was asked on the survey. Survey looked legitimate as it was professionally developed. As for the gift cards, I think it was a system glitch. Everyone who completed the survey got winning notification but only those who actually won can see Amazon code. just some thoughts...
Count me in.... The odd thing is, if this is a scam, who is perpetrating it and how did they get all our contact information?

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Tech.

What email address are you using? All I have for them is the scheduler email from the "help" button from specific shops.
Bad news, folks. I sent an email to Darius Jackson, one of the schedulers, asking if the survey was legit. His response, "It's a fake!"

PS
I'm an idiot, too.

There was no reason to post twice.

Sorry, but they won't honor it

If the survey is a fake, but went to Mystery Researchers' actual shoppers, how did they get our information to send us the survey if Mystery Researchers didn't give it to them?

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Sure there was.

First, I'm mad.

Second, it draws the scam portion to people's attention.

Mod note: Threads have been combined so all discussion of the topic is in one area. Accidentally combined the threads in the wrong order so this one (that was posted second) now comes first. Oh well. smiling smiley
That I do not know. I sent darius a follow-up email, advising him about this thread and suggesting someone from Mystery researchers come on the forum.

the thing you quoted is generic and not from them.
If you notice their name is not listed. I would win
in court if I wanted to since they did not take the
time to properly put out terms and conditions.

That's fine if they won't honor it. But I'll never be duped into doing another one for them. Not that they care.
its not fake. QuestionPro is a legitimate company.
That who is providing the survey on their behalf.

to come over the next few weeks.

"Thank You for offering your feedback to Mystery Researchers. We will be having a series of feedback requests over the next few weeks giving you even more opportunities to win a $50 Amazon giftcard.

We greatly appreciate your time and all that you do.

Sincerely,

Mystery Researchers
Studies Department "

Yeah, I'm sure we'll all jump all over those opportunities when they arrive......

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Just got the survey email as well
Thanks for the heads up.

That's a real concern. I don't care about $50 GC
I wish I had read this before falling for it also. I have never fallen for a scam, but I guess I did this time. Same story, took it, said I won with no code, sent an email that bounced back.
Am I the only one who doesn't appreciate getting requests to complete surveys for either nothing or a 1 in 10,000 chance to win a gift card?

I think we all lost. But perhaps we've learned a valuable lesson.
Count me in as well for the 'win"

PS: the email it came from was studies@mysteryresearchers.com
I normally don't bother but I had some time to kill before leaving for a doctor appointment.

I did find a couple of the questions to be odd but not quite odd enough to scream "hoax!"
