Coyle Hospitality

I'm already in the Coyle system, but I'm in one of those abysmal areas where there's nothing going on. I have the time and means to do one of their crazy, middle of nowhere, hotel assignments, but I've never completed a shop with them before. Is there anyway for me to get on these? (I thought I was a good candidate for these since I have hospitality/theme park/food service experience.)

Also, is there any other MSCs that do specifically hospitality, upscale dining, and/or travel shops? These are the types of shops that I love the most, and while I'll pick up the occasional fast food or retail shop if it's some place I like, I don't MS for a living, so it's more about having fun for me.

I had always put, under, "time drink order/received" my bar timings. As we ususally did not order a drink at the table. Couple of years I did this timing. Then suddenly I get marked off, because they want the timings at the table, not the bar. Why did no one every point this out to me before? I must have done 20 shops like this before someone told me.

Yes, Colyle is strict, but just following examples.
It's possible they just changed their procedure or what they were looking for.
There are lots of restaurant shops posted today all of a sudden. I have been waiting for weeks. Should I sign up for all of those in my city? There are about 15 of them. Would that get me at least one shop? Or is it better to just sign up for one or two ? I commented that I am available any day. Do they like that, when I leave it to them to assign the date? Or do they prefer I put down a particular day?

If you are an experienced Coyle shopper, any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
When did Coyle start using Shopmetrics. Did they get rid of the prophet site?

Mary, this is a direct quote from the Coyle job board:

"When putting in your requests, please provide definite dates you are available (for example: Available to check-in 5/10, 5/14, 5/20, 5/24). Writing "available any time" means to us you have absolutely no plans for the entire month(s) and that is not typically the case."

A word of advice; If you do not take the time to read the instructions posted for you on the job board, it's a sign that you may not follow all of the instructions for the shops, and the scheduler will be inclined to not schedule you. You are much better off looking to the Coyle website and resource center for answers before asking other shoppers, who may or may not give you correct answers....
