Delay with bare assignments

I have done many assignments with Bare International without a problem. I would pick a shop and it would very quickly be assigned to me. Suddenly I pick a shop and it is put on "my apps" board for days. One shop had not been assigned at about midnight one night when it was for the next day. I ended up cancelling that application because I didn't want to keep checking my personal email at work the next day to see if I had to do the shop that day. I have blocked out time for two shops next week but still don't know if I will be doing them. The shops are for Tuesday (two days from now) and I applied for them the previous Friday. The problem is I can't sign up for other shops because I may need to do those. They are very time specific so I can't work another shop in if I get the Bare ones. I work full time and only have a limited time after work to do shops. Has anyone else had this problem recently?

I applied for a shop a while back and didn't hear anything on the assignment for a couple of days. I cancelled the application and moved on, haven't applied for any more since then so don't have any current information. In the past my applications would be processed promptly; perhaps this is a temporary problem. I suggest calling the company for clarification on your shop requests.

No problems for me re: the self-assigns. The others could be delayed for a variety of reasons. Bare schedulers are somewhat easy to reach by phone...800 296-6699.
Yes, I've had the same issue recently. I had to cancel one of the shops because I was given less than 12 hours notice, which was unworkable for me.
I would assume they are really "hoping" another shopper takes it....I would just cancel and move on
I applied for two shops and didn't get a reply, so I emailed them and told them I HAD to know right away because my calendar was getting full. Bingo! They were assigned immediately. Good luck.
I find it depends on the scheduler. The scheduler who does shipping shops in my state assigns almost immediate if it's something I can't self assign. The scheduler who does the shipping shops in the neighboring state doesn't let me self assign anything and takes days before assigning shops.

You could have canceled your application if you knew it was not workable.

For shop requests/applications in general, it is perfectly reasonable to allow your application to stand until you find another job for that day and time, or until it becomes untenable for you to complete it, then just cancel the application. No reason to hold the date open just in case you get assigned.
